Our issue is that we have VERY little in the way of tradeable assets. Frei may have been good trade bait 18 months ago, but we would struggle to get more than a supplemental draft pick for him now!
I believe we have some stuff that's tradeable, but it will push people's limits in terms of what they are willing to do.
Bottom line should be that we're a bad team, and shouldn't have any sacred cows. If someone is willing to pay us more for Luis Silva than he's worth, then we should trade him. It's not an impossible proposition and it's not a matter of certainty that he's going to be great.
Brockie is an unknown, buying him should not even be considered. Way to early to make that sort of decision.
Lets see him with some starts, and after a road trip. Frankly, a good judging time will be by July 20. 3 games in a week. KC, Chivas and then home to NYRB.
Years have gone by and Ive finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: A pretty move, for the love of God.
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I dont give a damn which team or country performs it.

Still too early to talk about buying Brockie. Go watch that highlight reel of his and have a laugh at some of the adult rec league defending.
Speaking of this elusive DP AM, do we have anything to go on other than Payne's assurances that he's going to be the bestest ever?
The agent for Massimo Ambrossini of Milan has said that there is interest from MLS for his client... could be all talk to get a new contract. Not sure he'd qualify as an AM but thought it was worth a mention.

Eric Lichaj has been released by Villa. If we want a proper back, look no further. Are we still atop the allocation order?

Still wouldn't be shocked if Lopez ends up here in July as a young DP.
TFC is still on top: http://www.mlssoccer.com/allocation
Of course he might prefer to stay in England.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
As per Larson's twitter, Frei and Califf not travelling to NE this weekend and he's a bit suspicious. Nellie said Frei has a hamstring injury and Califf is sick again. Make of it what you will but considering these guys were already the logical trade bait names being thrown around in this forum, seems to be quite the coincidence.
