I'll miss the withering stare and general class he brought to the team.
Thank you Torsten!
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
Class guy Will do well as a coach.

That's the last time I try to impress Auzzy by using a translation device.
I mean, technically, you should have said "There are grammar Nazis," considering that you were using a plural.
^ LOL awesome!
Torsten Frings, we will miss you! Too bad we only occasionally saw the best of you -- more often than not, due to the incompetence of others at TFC, especially in management. A classy guy until the end.
I do hope that TFC can maintain a good working relationship with Frings, and that the talk of helping with scouting in Germany was not just window dressing at the retirement presser. I believe there are players in the lower German divisions, and in the academies of the bigger clubs, who would be interesting for MLS. It seems to be a largely untapped market for MLS. I can only think of a handful of German players that ever came to this league. I also believe that wages in Germany are not as ridiculous as in some other European markets, due to the salary restrictions (based on profitability) which have been in place for a while. There's a huge pyramid of players in Germany, and only a tiny percentage make it to the top. Perhaps there are players on the fringes, who aren't quite making it there, or who want to get some playing time under their belt, who would do well in MLS.
I do hope that Frings will come back to BMO Field, perhaps at the home opener, and that we can give him a rousing sendoff!
Danke sehr Torsten Frings!!!!!
Vielen Dank Herr Frings. Ich werde es nie vergessen, wenn du ein Tor gegen Limpact gemacht hast -- ein tolles Torstentor! Ich wünsche dir viel Glück und Spaß in deiner Zukunft.
