Thanks, D. No chance of balance from Mr. Larson, as usual. His story's bang-on ... for 45 minutes. To me, ignoring the best play of the entire tournament in your roundup smacks of overt negativity, and Osorio deserved at least a paragraph. Plus, "Phantom" offside? What, from Kurt's position in the press box? Or in Toronto? Guy can't just play it straight.
^ I was going to note the same thing you guys did.
Larson is embarrassing himself with that article. Hope they cut his access.
Larson is just angry he doesnt have an inside source in PM anymore. He lost his drinking buddy.
TSN FC podcast today. Interesting interview with the guy who is in charge of MLS officials. He's a little bit stuck in the past "replay would make football uniform and boring" but he says some interesting stuff too.
When he started with MLS they had 2 T-W-O full time officials. Now they have nine... Still lots of work to be done.
Yeah great podcast: http://www.tsn.ca/window/podcastcent...tid=15638&id=1
The progression from 2 fulltime refs to 9 is welcome news indeed.
Seems like Ryan Nelsen or Kevin Payne can't seem to sign central or south American attacking players. Not sure if it's money or can't identify players that will come in produce straight away.
I personally think it's better that Ryan Nelsen travel back to England and speak to clubs and players. Maybe get a couple on loan or free agents. I'm sure he has a lot of contacts. Built a good reputation in England.
