Yep, and I hope TFC can benefit from that. Robinson's outlook is a breath of fresh air in a lot of ways. As much as we all hate the Shitecaps, I wish him well. Although I think Vanney is doing a decent job overall, I wonder what things would have been like if Robinson was our coach.
Of course Bekker scores the tying goal for Montreal last night. Continuing the trope of ex-TFC players playing better elsewhere.

Yeah, I saw a few interviews with him over there and he truly has a somewhat delusional view of his time here. I think the insane fan support at that time probably has a lot to do with it.
Johann Smith has been reborn after two years out of the sport as a left back at FC Edmonton.

TFC Academy product Tristan Borges signs with Heereveen
Years have gone by and Ive finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: A pretty move, for the love of God.
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I dont give a damn which team or country performs it.

Another example of how It's pretty clear "former TFC flop" is a great indicator of future success LOL, Columbus Crew SC midfielder Tony Tchani ecstatic to receive first call-up from Cameroon for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers scheduled against Niger on Nov. 13 and 17.

Not to mention Shola Ameobi might have signed if Carver stayed on.
ugh
Look at us reminiscing about John Carver. We're pathetic lol
Embrace the pathetic. It's all we have.
Henry returns to Blackburn Rovers on a year-long loan: http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article...d-2816654.aspx
A good move for him as he wasn't able to break into any first team action with West Ham. Should be able to get playing time at Blackburn.
edit: I just realized I messed up my dates on this. It's a short term loan until January.

Eric Avila's option not picked up by Orlando.
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sport...1124-post.html
(along with Tally Hall, Lewis Neal, Danny Mwanga, Corey Ashe, etc.)
^ Not only that, Avila will be one of the first test cases of the Free Agent rules.
Wasn't Avila back on loan from Santos Laguna? I remember that situation was really weird and confusing last off season where he left mls to join Santos, didn't end up signing, came back through the allocation order, and then they said he was on loan from Santos. So wouldn't he still be under contract with Santos rather than an FA? Maybe by declined his option it means that they decline their option to make the deal permanent.
If he is available though, he could definitely be useful to us. He's the kind of midfielder that we could really use. Can play centrally or wide, can send a dangerous ball into the box, and generally makes good decisions with the ball.
