He's still in the top 3 best TFC players, behind DeRO and in front of Frings IMO.

Him and Robbo were good buddies... I bet Guevara is helping the Whitecraps more than anyone else.

Was just looking down a list of former TFC players and I saw a few interesting things to note:

-Ryan Johnson is done in China and has just moved to the K league
-Terry Dunfield is actually still playing... in the SPL for Ross County
-O'Brian White still hasn't resumed play since his blood clot issues two years ago
-Rohan Ricketts is in Hong Kong playing for his 16th professional club
-Yourassowsky just got signed by a 3rd division Belgian club, his first professional contract since TFC
-Alen Stevanović has been loaned out to various Serie B teams and has done sweet FA since leaving

So obviously they're holding onto the tradition of doing better since leaving TFC.

I did really like Ecks, too bad he was too arrogant to take a pay cut.

Typical of most British Players, arrogance that is.

Defoe is getting a new coach, Sunderland just fired Gus Poyet.
I guess it's deja vu for Jermain.

Just when he was feeling relieved that he didn't end up at QPR...

Wouldn't be surprised if there is a mutual termination of his contract in May, even if S'land avoids the drop.

Watched the condensed highlights of the FCDvSKC game this wknd. Bekker's yellow card was the most emotion/passion I've seen from him...though what the hell else was he supposed to do? Its in the last minutes of the game, btw.

If you read the comments to this article they are almost the same feelings posted here on the boards when Nelsen was fired last year.

They should give him a DP spot and $10 million. That should help us a lot.

I wonder if they are looking at tapes of the pre-broken down JDG who was the la liga quality player.

MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

Berhalter may well know JDG from the Bundesliga - they overlapped there for 5-6 years, and there cannot have been very many North Americans in the league then.

Johann Smith, isn't that Mr. Stepover?

    The article said "five-foot-one footballer" -- oops -- he's actually 5' 11".

At the bottom of this article

    http://metronews.ca/news/vancouver/1...ts-into-goals/

    ROBERT EARNSHAW ANNOUNCEMENT COMING?
Former Toronto FC and Chicago Fire striker Robert Earnshaw, 33, has been on trial with the Whitecaps since February.
On Wednesday, Robinson hinted there could be an announcement on Earnshaw’s future with the club as soon as Thursday.
“Something might happen, hopefully over the next 24 hours,” said Robinson.

Watched the Sunderland at West Ham match.
Pretty even match, Sunderland looked like they were going to get a point on the road then West Ham gets a late goal to win it.

Defoe didn't get much service but the one he got early in the match put him in alone almost right middle of the pitch.
It was the best Chad Barrett impression that I have seen since Chad played for us.

He may not be la liga quality anymore but in his performance for Canada v Colombia, he was superb.

Former TFC CB Ty Harden has potted his first goal in MLS play in the Earthquake v Chicago match. This is his 100th MLS appearance.
