Can this be serious? Or is this Anselmi cashing his many chips earned over years with the Toronto sports media by pushing this story?

He's Larry T's man, which leads me to believe that Larry T has an in with Braley. If they are "surprised by the quality of applicants" and Anselmi is one of the top 3, they really are not used to quality.

Former Toronto FC Emery Welshman to try out for the Golden Jaguars

TWENTY-three-year-old Canadian-born Emery Welshman, according to head coach Jamaal Shabazz, will be making his way to Guyana in an attempt to play for the Golden Jaguars, Guyana’s senior national football team.

Born to Guyanese parents, Sherwyn and Margaret Welshman, who migrated to Canada 27 years ago, Emery is the youngest of three children. He has been playing the sport since age five.
He spent three seasons with Erin Mills Soccer Club and six years with Brampton East before joining the Sigma Elite Training Centre programme.

A 2009 graduate of Loyola Catholic Secondary School, where he was the team’s Most Valuable Player in his junior and senior seasons and the Student Athlete-of-the-Year in his final year, Welshman split the last four years at Siena College and Oregon State University.

Welshman was drafted sixteenth overall in the 2013 MLS Super Draft by Toronto FC on January 17, 2013. He made his debut for Toronto as a second half sub for Robert Earnshaw on March 2, 2013 in a 1-0 away defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

Welshman started and played the full 90 in Toronto’s 2-0 home leg victory against Montreal Impact in the Amway Canadian Championship on April 24, 2013 and after failing to make another senior team appearance he was released by Toronto in February 2014.

The former NCAA standout has since moved back to Sigma FC, who plays in League 1 Ontario and made his debut for the team against Durham United FC on June 1, 2014.

Shabazz stated at a recent Press Conference Welshman will be paying his own way to Guyana where he will be assessed by the technical team before making a decision on his future with the Golden Jaguars.

Congrats to one of TFC's all-time great characters, none other than the man himself Mr. Rohan Ricketts. This past weekend he made his debut for his newest club, Eastern SC of the Hong Kong Premier League in the Senior Shield Cup Final, which they won. It has been a long journey for him since his time with the Reds, playing for a total of 9 clubs, winning a few trophies along the way.

John Carver in charge of Newcastle at least until end of season.

Terrible decision IMO. Carver has been terrible as caretaker of Newcastle so far

Ouch. Interesting that the team says the break occured after attempting a non-contact sudden change of direction on turf.

So, Grass or Turf, which is safer?

Turf is horrible, especially with boots that have blades and not round studs. When you turn or sudden change of direction on grass you will dig in and rip up the grass. On turf, there's absolutely no give, reason why theres so many ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL tears.

Interesting to see in the article that Plata had just signed a new contract that took him up to Young Designated Player status.

I've figured it out, guys: Dallas took Bekker for his hair—didn't have the inside track on a returning Shea, and he's the next best thing to fill their flock-of-seagulls void.

    That is all.
