Reading stumpytown.com (fan blog for the timbers) and it sounds as if Urruti has been the big standout in their training camp so far. On multiple days he has stood out as the best player. I hope the kid does well there and has a good career in MLS.

Koevermans signs with FC Utrecht until end of Dutch Season.
Couple ex-pats in pre-season action:
Frei with a nice save for Seattle (about 6 seconds in)
Urruti with an assist and a goal against Houston
Great layoff by Urrutti and a nice finish for his own goal.
I was pretty impressed with his play. They lined him up next to another forward in a 4-4-2 diamond or a 4-3-3 of sorts. This was the first time I saw him play as more of a FW as opposed to a poacher that sits on the line and just tries to beat the offside trap.
Gaston Fernandez who they had playing in the hole (or AM role) also looked incredible.
Former TFC defender Tyrone Marshall named coach of PDL team in Louisville KY.

“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
