I was in denver last week. The MLS game between the Rapids and the Union scheduled for Sat. evening got snowed out and had to be re-scheduled for Sunday afternoon. I went to the game at Dick's Sporting Goods Park and sat among the season ticket-holders. 4 foot snow banks surrounded the entire field. Marvell Wynne is absolute fan favourite. He still makes his crazy runs up the right side. Labrocca is back in the fold.

The supporters are generally pessimistic about the season with Conner Casey and Cummings gone. The Rapids lost 2-1 to the Union. The Nachos at Dick's Sporting Goods are quite good.

Pablo Vitti was a teammate of Joao Plata's at LCU Quito last season. So far this season Vitti has 3 goals in 7 matches (6 starts).

Stefanovic started for Serbia today. Surprising.

Very tense. First meeting ever between Croatia and Serbia. No visiting support allowed. I hope they get through this without a problem.

On a lighter note, pretty much every player on the pitch, is an "itch".

Week 4 news: "San Jose’s backline of Attakora, Dan Gargan, Ty Harden and Jason Hernandez helped goalkeeper Jon Busch posted his first clean sheet of the season despite having to replace three defenders lost due to injury (Steven Beitashour) or World Cup qualifiers (Víctor Bernárdez, Justin Morrow)". Did that sentence make any sense at all!!!! Good to see them doing well, but holy crap you don't expect to see those names and clean sheet written together!

Peri Marosevic, Joseph Nane, and Hunter Freeman are on the New York Cosmos roster for the 2013 season, if they actually play this season, because it doesnt seem to be a full roster yet.

I read that and chuckled. To be fair to Nana, I always thought he read the game very well when he was on his game. If he finds the right coach I think he can become quite a good central defender

I doubt the result would have been the same with Martins and Johnson up front.

I was just watching Eric Avila in the Chivas highlights this week and I got to pondering.

There are several players that have left TFC that have gone on to be important players for other teams. Exactly how inept was the TFC FO/Coaching Before-Payne (BP?)? It seems you have to try really hard to be so bad for so long. What would be the best adjective(s) could we use?

    Horrifically?
    Stupendously?
    Unbelievably?
    Indescribably?

I know, it's probably too early in the season to say the worst is behind us (and I still expect a late-season fold), but should the blame for the past all be on Anselmi?

Tottenham midfielder John Bostock training with San Jose. Spurs must have really liked what Yallop did with Dawkins as reclamation project.

Two goals for Maicon Santos tonight as Chicago surprises NYRB 3-1. The first of the two was superb. The second, a tap in that he did not miss.
