Look who is on the MLS waiver wire.

Junior Burgos! I had no idea he was in Atlanta.

Yes, signed with Atlanta last February and was loaned to Tampa Bay of the NASL for the 2016 season.

Torsten Frings is now the new manager of SV Darmstadt 98 in 1.Bundesliga. Unfortunately they are bottom of the table, big fight to stay up.

    ^Good for Fringsy!

Die Lillien are an amazing story. Moved up 3 divisions in two years (I kid you not!)

34 yr old Defoe wanted by West Ham for 6mil pounds. Nuts

He has 11 goals in 21 games on a crappy team.

Defoe's worth to Sunderland is staying in the premier league, whatever that amounts to.

Does it bode well for arguments espousing the quality of MLS that Defoe's strike rate in EPL is roughly the same or better than when he played in MLS?

"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

Really happy for him. I remember the look on his face early last season when someone (Altidore?) was sent off early on and Lovitz was subbed for a more defensive player. He was devastated.

    So sad.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
