Unfortunately, it didn't work out in the end but I'm really pleased for him. Mixed feeling when he signed for Montreal but I'm happy for him.

    I just saw this now.

He came too early, and he would still come back? At 36?

He's ... delusional, to put it mildly.

Tos is doing really well with the shambolic defenses of the Lithuanian league. He got a brace last match, here's one of the goals:

Bob DeKlerk is coaching for Atlanta - didn't see it in here but saw him on the bench yesterday speaking with Frank deBoer.

It's no wonder Canadians from most of these smaller leagues want to play in MLS. Even MTL has a better vibe.

I wouldn't look too much into what he's saying. i think he's just being diplomatic in his response.
There's no way he'd come back here.

In Toronto, probably not. In MLS ya there will definitely be takers, but I doubt it would be a team in LA or NY, where I assume him and his brand would want to be.

got asked in a recent pub quiz "name the only player who has scored a hat-trick in all 4 divisions of the english league"- couldn't get it, none other than Rob Earnshaw. Unfortunately no hat-tricks for us

Plucky Panama tied Brazil 1-1 yesterday in a pretty unfriendly stadium (Porto).

Armando Cooper started and played 82 minutes. (Omar Browne was a late sub btw)

That is a serious career highlight for Armando

Increasing number of tweets relating to Giovinco’s possible end of season sale. The translations are weak, but they are pointing at the purchase of new forwards, making Seba dispensable,

Good luck getting any other team in the world to pick up that salary. They'll have to buy him out.

Great news for him. No need to live there long term, but he gets the cash anyways (or a good portion of it).

Maybe he then becomes our TAM winger...

No way... you don't think this was the plan all along? TFC with the top of the allocation order would get him back first! If the Saudis buy Seba out, would he come back to T.O. for a TAM wage? That is so broken I don't see how MLS front office would allow that twisting of the rules.

And what would the Saudis be getting out of this whole thing?

Hasn’t scored in the last 5 games. On the bench today and did not see any action. Seems a bit strange that he would not play when they are battling for top spot in the league

Anyone been keeping tabs on Victor since he left? Any idea how he is making out over there?

Yes it is, very strange. I guess he must be. I don’t want to start a whole new debate but in my opinion I think he made a poor decision to chase the money and go play over there. Of course for all I know he may be perfectly happy with the choice.

Yeah hopefully we don't have to go down this rabbit hole of a debate again. If his contract gets bought out, with a huge whack of cash for a couple of months of play (and probably minimal taxes), he'll be laughing all the way to the bank. He can take that money and do whatever he wants to.
