Toronto 'Til I Die Banner

Sorry for posting in the wrong forum, but I need maximum exposure.

Who is the kind soul who graciously took my banner down last night before I could get to it?

I was delayed by an important phone call and didn't get back to 104 until about 20 minutes after full-time. When I did, it was gone and staff were clueless about its whereabouts and no one saw anyone take it down, aparently.

Gobi, if you cannot retrive it I will donate funds to make a new one, that is the only banner the ESS has.

Wow, thanks guys.
I think the thing only cost me about $10... but it was 30+ hours labour!

I guess it's motivation to make a proper ESS banner now.

I hope you got it back.. everyone I bring to a TFC game always tells me that banner is their absolute favourite. It's a personal favourite of mine too.

We didn't see the banner today. Looks like someone decided to help themselves to it.

Mind you, after seeing a crowd of people fighting over free boxes of pasta and cheap plastic razors outside of gate 1 like we were a Soviet block nation, then I'm not surprised.

Its as classless as screwing with someones car. Honestly people should be ashamed if they have to stoop to the level of stealing one of your own supporters banners.

The last time a banner was stolen it ended up in Hamilton, and it was basically a fluke that it was found and taken back.

Hopefully this one has not travelled so far afield.

The banner is alive and well!

As I suspected, Chuck, The World's Awesomest Security Person, stashed it for me.
(I tried to find him on Saturday, but couldn't before I had to get back to 112.)
This fellow has been straightening it and fixing it in wind and rain all season. He's teased me about needing to iron it, adding weights to the bottom, touching up the paint, etc. All of which I've done because he's so protective of my banner.

So I owe him several beers, at least.

Say what you will about BMO security, and I know it's all true, but at least a few of them are pure class.
