Petrescu, while I feel he had it in for John Carver, is actually a pretty good ref.

The fact that Beldomero "Red Card" Toledo was seriously in the mix for "best" ref shows how messed up MLS refereeing really is.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

I think he was pretty striaght forward in what he said, sounds like a smart kid.

Understands it's a business, but at the same time recognized the team was playing for nothing, so why not give the young guys a shot? My thoughts exactly.
