This is a bit about what worries me. The front office has generally been quick to listen to us and give us what we ask for, and usually not to the betterment of the team.

But we NEED to have a pres with knowledge of football (preferably of the MLS). That will make all the difference at TFC. In between the "business guy" Anselmi and the "coaching guy" Mariner needs to be somebody who knows the game, knows what it takes to win, and has connections within football.
Also needs to be from outside the organization. They desperately need new thinking in there. Promoting from within won't cut it (ie. Cochrane).

I'm not being critical of supporters defining what they think should happen I just think by the same token we should be wary of what we ask for.
If you're talking about the Jurgen comment, fair enough. But you'll agree there's still a lot of speculation as to how much of the Jurgen plan was implemented, if even read by the F/O? So I'm not quite willing to put that one in the "got what we wanted" category.

It would be much easier if we just asked for a winning football club and came back when they had one. Sadly it's not that easy, and you'd put this board out of business......

Sorry, de Guzman or whatever is not the right analogy. Tom Anselmi appointing a "Soccer president" is not what I (or many others) want.

I care very little about who they appoint as "President", or when they do it.

I care a lot more about who makes the selection, and what the contractual terms are.

I highly, highly doubt we will "get what we want" in any respect.

I beg to differ and agree to disagree. I've seen "many others" ask for exactly that. You're expectations are well within reason, though.

DeGuzman, Klinsmaan, both were representations of asking for something and it not turning out the way we wished. That's as far as the comparison was trying to go.

I don't think Klinsmann did much wron really. He, or whoever else, just picked the wrong head coach in Winter. Other than that, there was nothing wrong with the approach Klinsmann made or the suggestion's he came up with.

Who would you want to make the selection?

We need the house cleaning that should have happened in 2009 or 2010.Anselmi needs to be gone from the TFC org chart and have zero involvement in this process. Everybody else is fired.

I have a pair in Section 225, $950 for the pair. Still very much on the bubble. The year-end interviews; the stuff said in the Town Halls; the Aron Winter & Adrian Cann interviews; Mariner's statements & behaviour on so many fronts (and no I don't mean wearing shorts or hopping around on the sidelines) -- all those have massively reduced the chance of me renewing.

I'll wrap up work soon, go home & have a beer and think about it. I missed some important phone calls at work today because I was not picking up any calls from unknown numbers. I really didn't want to waste my time & aggravation hearing the pitiful sales scripts from their reps. Good for me, bad for them, they never even tried calling. (I did tell me rep via email a few weeks ago "I’m so disappointed with the whole situation, I don’t really want to talk about it." so maybe he remembered that.)

This is the kind of non-sense that's got to stop. If anyone here actually believes that this statement is even remotely possible, then we have a real problem. Like seriously, Anselmi just got promoted to top exec in MLSE, so to think he will be removed , and "everyone else fired" is just play naive!

^ Yes, the real problem with TFC/MLSE is Ensco. If he leaves it will be all take care of itself.
