This is gonna be one long day at work - already nervous. I just hope our boys can rise above all the typical crap that we have to deal with in C. America and bring us a performance to remember.

^^Nice to see that he comes in when the grunt work is done.

I can see this is going to be a tough day to focus for me. Fingers crossed for the game this afternoon.

I am no fan of JDG2 and Junior popping over when the grunt work is done either but if we want to get anywhere in the future, we need players of this skill set. Relying on an aging Dero to be the primary goal scorer isn't getting us out of the hex and I have little faith in any other current player being able to consistently threaten to score as we move forward.
Maybe this is the day Canada steps out of the CONCACAF shadows and takes a step up towards USA & Mexico level. Biggest day I can remember for our CMNT. Mega excited/nervous.
I dont care, he doesnt even have a passport and it would be an entirely different story if JDG2 and Hoilett were already on the team. If Hoilett wanted to be on the Canadian National Team he would realize the importance of todays game and would have made himself available regardless of whether he was having second thoughts in previous call ups. He's gone. He will join Jamaica in 2013.
I don't want to see Jon in our shirt. There was an interview where he was in a Team Canada shirt, and had said he is still aiming at going to Holland. Right then and there, he lost all respect. You don't pledge allegiance to the opposition, while wearing your home colours.
Hoilette is more then welcome. I completely understand where he is coming from. He hasn't gone the shady route that Jono has gone. I will be thrilled if he joins us.
I'd love to see the day when we can tell players like Jonathan and Hoilette "sorry we don't want you." We're not yet at that point. We need to take any talented player willing to wear the maple leaf.
In the 1980's, it was routine for Canada to beat the US in football. Just like MLS helped the USA get to the next level, we're now starting to see that effect for Canada. In a decade we'll probably see players begging for the chance to play for Canada, rather than the other way around.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
Still, these guys could have been part of the solution, rather than adding to our problems (in qualification). Part of me doesn't care whether they ever suit up for Canada. And JDG2 is just delusional if he ever thinks he'll be given more than a cup of coffee with Holland. Anyways, doesn't do any good dwelling on this. We've got a game to at least draw in at 4 pm and I wanna be focused on that...
Bad choice if you're right. Jamaica looks all but out after losing to Guatemala. they have to hope that there is a winner between US and Guatemala and they (Jamaica) have to beat Antigua by 4.
