JDG will play another game, and we will be still rumoured about new signings.

If you assume that the technically gifted de Guzman was not going to excel playing English-style long ball in Toronto and was likely going to play out the final year of his current contract as a spot starter and substitute, it doesn’t take a huge leap of faith to see Dallas as a pretty good fit for the 2008 Canadian Player of the Year.
A quick perusal of the current Dallas roster suggests a group of players who could bring out the best in de Guzman. Coach Schellas Hyndman prefers to play a more Latin-influenced style of soccer and has populated his squad with highly technical and mobile players such as Fabian Castillo, Jackson, Brek Shea and 2010 league MVP David Ferreira.
It's obvious the rest of the league is heading towards more technical stlyle of soccer ,while we are heading to '80 style of soccer.

At the end this trade looks good for TFC, De Guzman, and hopefully CMNT.

These quotes are from a comment at the bottom of an article on Waking the Red:

Current estimates are that 10 of 16 US based MLS clubs are using the Total Football model. Combine that with the type of player they are looking at AND the restrictive roster rules on Canadian players earning jobs in the US, and you can see why a growing number of TFC-A parents are concerned with the direction.

To use a job analogy, they are coming into a market with a competitive disadvantage given rosters rules and are learning to play the game and think in a way that won’t be in demand.

Many who committed this year, did so under the idea that they would be developing under Total Football. A much more popular and sought after skill. Now that it has changed, I’m even less convinced that TFC-Academy is an automatic advantage in one’s development path.
The article was about TFC Academy and MLSE's motivation for creating it. If you haven't seen it already, you might find it a worthwhile read:

Am I correct in remembering that our transfer window closes on Friday (27th)?

If so, I would expect/hope some news in the next day or so for our remaining DP spot.

Cahill to the Red Bulls? That lad has still got some serious game...they've just improved enormously!

I thought he was off to the middle east? Huge pick up by New York. He'll end up being a star in this league. With his work rate and eye for goal.

David Moyes also did a great job of keeping his temper under control.
