Not playing the style for long term success? Fuck ya!
Belligerent, UN-interested Ownership Group? Fuck ya!
Injury and roster woes? Fuck ya!

I find it funny how the 5 players TFC used at the bottom of their story to vote for on Man of the Match are not even the one selected at the game. Game time Man of the Match was given to Reggie Lambe (not sure why) and he isn't even included in the poll.

I don't post on here as much as i used to but coming on here and reading a few threads I'd think we were 0-10 under Mariner. The guy has passion to win, something the previous guy lacked in my opinion. Winning is a beautiful thing. Last nights match was a beautiful thing, one of the more solid performances I've seen from TFC.

Hard to believe Mariner has 4 wins under him in 10 matches, Aron Winter had 7 wins in 44 matches! Really makes me wonder where we would be right now if Mariner was running the team from the start of the year.

Good point, I liked Winter, but Mariner is getting results which is good for the team, players and supporters alike, when you have some success it builds confidence, I was pleased the players came over to applaud the supporters, that hasn't happened for a while, the players are starting to feel good about themselves.

You will start a huge debate over this one.lol

No need to debate. It's been a lovely little flurry in the dog days of summer, but the team's mettle will soon be tested after the all-star break and we'll see if they're for real.

Ian Shantz incorrectly points out in his Sun article that we're nine back of a playoff spot heading into the all-star break. No. It's 12 points to both Chicago and Houston. With 14 to play, seven at home.

Coming out of the break, we get Houston - unbeaten at home this season - at BMO Field, then after an Aug. 1 CCL game away to Aguila, we've got two crucial road games a week apart in Chicago and Columbus.

Win those three league matches and it becomes an interesting season, with winnable home games later on against Portland, Philly, DCU, and Montreal and tough tests from visits by KC and Chicago.

Some tough road games with visits to Houston, KC, LA and NYRB. Not expecting many points from that set.

Thankfully, we won't have to wait long to see what playoff prospects lie in store and we can gauge our enthusiasm and expectations accordingly after August 18.

^ Wow, that's really cool. All players hooked up to electrodes transmitting performance data to the coach in real-time? The future is here.

Great Canada is playing that FIFA date, wish it wasn't in Florida (in August) and on a cricket pitch.
