    Wow.

If the reports were accurate that JDG and TFC were in contract negotiations recently, the two sides were probably far apart, and Mariner decided to act now.

Maybe they are going to bring back Joao Plata on loan from LQD?

My guess is that those negotiations were a bogus smoke screen.

itd be a houdini level of deal if mariner gets george john in the trade. John is on last yr of contract, but makes league min plus a solid cb and tfc still has cap room for more signings

Well it looks like the contract negotiations didn't go too well.. Probably went something like this..

JDG: So I wanna come back next year and play for TFC.. Tell you what I'll play for the same 1.9 million..
Cochrane: well first let me find the damn paper work. Anyways I was thinking around 1.5
JDG: 1.5 million where do I sign..
Cochrane: no I was thinking 1.5k
JDG: oh ok let's just make it a cool mill and call it even
Cochrane: tell you what here's a one way ticket to the big d, now we're even..

I don't think it went anything like that.

    Wow. Unglaublich.

JDG's agent is a miracle worker. Massive opportunity for the FO. Things are going to be a bit thin in the roster for a bit until they unveil whoever they have in mind. Time to start a pool? I call last day of transfer window. Just hoping whoever they get is prominent enough to have a picture in his wiki entry.

Damn, if Mariner lands George John or even just a good draft pick, I'd be happy. Open up a DP spot and land some young talent. John might have realized he's not ready for Europe when he couldn't crack a first team game at West Ham.

I wonder if we even see another dp this year. Any prominant dp would require at a minimum a 2 year contract and with the sale of ML$E this maybe something that's not approved at the moment. I guess we'll find out in the next couple of weeks.

    2-1 it's McKenna as a low-level DP.

This is unbelievable, I never thought this would happen. I'm shocked Dallas agreed to take him and are apparently paying his salary. I wonder if we'll get any players back, likely not.

I bet they have another DP lined up. I hope it's a CB.

Man I'm so happy. I was 100% against resigning JDG but now we don't even have to wait until the end of the season to get rid of him. Fan-fucking-tastic.
