i know it's hot and all, but that 30-40 seconds of slow passing, with everyone standing or walking was bloody funny.

    Honestly guys?

It's called time wasting. I know many of you think it's abhorrent behaviour but TFC has been milking time off the clock since the second half started. It's smart. I ilke it.

Danny's not hurt one bit. LOL

Voodoo... I don't have "love for Dunfield"...

I just don't think he's as bad as some people on here - and I don't think guys should be wishing injuries on our own player...

Funny enough, some Dunfield haters say "thank god he's injured" while others say "he's acting". So the camp that think he's shit, can't even agree on his actions on the pitch which is kind of funny...

Sorry but you're out to lunch.

His head hurts...sure. But that was all way more about wasting time than anything else.

They waited for the stretcher and then he's up to walk off on his own. Then he figures its the right time to stop, and take the tape off his socks and pull them down.

Gimme a break. It's obvious. You're just too in love with Dunfield tonight to see it.

And for the record..I'm glad he did it.

Just like I'm glad that Frings strolled to every dead ball.

And Danny went down to get Soolsma on.

It's part of killing off a terrible game.

    Good on them.

Now beat Philly on the weekend and maybe we're not the worst team in the world. Small steps.

Well ... this reminds me a lot of last year.

Koevermans is hot, rest of team couldn't score in a brothel. More offensive talent needed, and RJ wildly inconsistent.

Relax Voodoo - it was funny that some guys were so sure and happy he was injured, and others thought he was faking...

Nobody kills time in men's league like me on the pitch!

Also, lets be honest, its hot as balls in Dallas - an ice pack to the head would feel good on anyone, playing or not! ...

So you lump me in with a guy who wishes injury upon him because I think you're overblowing one good play that Dunfield made?

Sorry but it doesn't work that way. I didn't say anything close to wishing he was injured.

Dunfield is a horrendous footballer. Just because you like players that have heart and get "stuck in" and overblow one good ball he put in the box and put him on a pedestal for heading a ball away that wouldn't have knocked over my 3 year old....doesn't mean I have to like what he brings to the field.

And the right side of Dunfield's face was starting to swell up. He was incredibly brave to lean into that rocket of a shot. His ears are probably still ringing.

Enough with the hate for Dunfield. He had a good game. I'd rather JDG, but whatever. The endless insults are a bit much.

The team had a much better 2nd half. Still a lot of long balls, but some good movement also. The defense looked much more together in the 2nd also. Danny K looks great out there. Morgan looks great with the ball going forward.

A point on the road is not so bad, better than a loss. We just need full points at home.

Win the 3 games in hand that Montreal have on us and we pass them in the table.

    Damn right...
It would feel good, if by the end of the season, we finished ahead of them...
They were probably certain they'd top us when we were 0-9 - just finishing ahead of Montreal would at least be something...

    Anyways...another decent result.

I shudder to think what we'll look like when Danny cools off.

I'd prefer JDG starting over Dunfield and about 50% of the long balls taken out but what do I know.

    Can't argue with "results"

    On to the next match.

PS...Dallas and TFC were awful tonight. No surprise why they're both bottom of the league

A hard fought point on the road, and a respectable result against a Dallas squad that much like TFC, is far better than their record would indicate. It was also encouraging to see TFC press hard for the victory by controlling possession in the latter stages of the match and not settle for a draw.

One can debate the the relative merits of Mariner's tactics, but he seems to be a strong motivator. There's no question that the players have been leaving it all on the pitch in every match since he took over at the helm.

The on to the next match is what surprises me about your comment. Considering about 1% of what you say is positive about this team, this league, etc. etc.

Some of us actually like this team and enjoy watching. Maybe just save half the negativity for yourself.

I can only speak for myself, but I think that the 2009 squad and this year's squad were the only TFC teams that really underachieved based on the overall level of talent on the roster.

I think the consistency of effort for 90 minutes was questionable under Winter at times.

    Meh.

FC Dallas was winless in 11 coming in. The last place team in the West. We have the 3rd highest payroll and we settle for a "good road result"?

Our only win in the last 6 came against Montreal (15th place team) We have drawn the 14th place team and the 18th place team. Both winnable games.

If this is how we start 2013, no one be would be happy.

Koevermans is one of our best DP signings ever.

Still, Dallas sucks and a 1-1 isn't an accomplishment. We've become so used to losing (and now in bunches) for the last two seasons that anything that breaks the routine is an achievement.

Philly next and they've been improving since Nowak got shitcanned, much like we have since Winter left.
