Silva, would be the biggest loss of the 3, but I think all of this was intentional by the 3. Silva, will most likely be traded or even disciplined by the league and banned for a good 10 games. I dont think he will be traded until the league suspension is listed. So he would most likely stay with the team for the year. Its also the only option for TFC to raise his trade value up and trade for a 1st round pick in the draft.

Somewhere in the back of my mind though I think Silva will be traded this year just as a miscalculated decision and we'll get in return a 3rd round pick.

I doubt 10 games. That seems pretty harsh for something like this, especially when we don't know too many of the details.

I thought that was the punchline, implying you were getting one...then throwing a curveball as if you're the give'r.

Silva is ok. He disappears for long stretches in a game. Like literally doesn't even touch the ball for 10-15 minutes at a time.
I think Soolsma is developing nicely, I'd put him up there as a loss is he were to go.

He's been covered in it for at least 3 seasons. It hasn't affected his bus-under-throwing one bit.

Tom Anselmi - See, it's not me. It's them. I'm not responsible for what players do. I hire people to take care of this stuff.

Probably some people at TFC now wondering who Tommy A has in his shit rolls downhill gun sights.

This isn't really that big of a deal when it comes to deciding the players' fate. Other athletes have incidents like this and continue on with their team. You can do worse than public intoxication when getting arrested.

Aceval wasn't going to play anyway, and apparently Mariner doesn't like Soolsma (a shame) so this doesn't really affect them. I think Silva will be back on the pitch after a couple games suspension.

I wonder if this team has a drinking/partying problem? At 1-10--- This may not be an isolated incident in terms of being pissed in public, but just the first time they ran into a policeman who didn't give a shit about about their profession.

    It would explain allot.

    Ugh, more details:

"Officers arrived at Houston’s Club Escobar around 2:45 a.m. local time, where they tried to disperse a fight. Aceval was told to clear the scene but refused, and became “belligerent,” according to Senties. Silva, a 23-year-old rookie, then got involved, but despite being told to back away he refused, cursing at the officers and running off when police tried to arrest him. Both Aceval and Silva had abrasions on their skin.Soolsma was also arrested for public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanour charge."

I'd hate to see it but it would not surprise me to see them suspended for the rest of the season. Look at Radulov and Kostisyn for just missing the curfew they were benched two playoff games. They weren't charged with anything.

    Because our charter requires it.

Apparently our charter means more to us than the team and league who are responsible for your paycheque if you're a player.

At least someone's showing some commitment around here, and it's not the players.

I specifically remember Mariner saying "I want them to have fun out there" in an interview. I'm sure he was referring to "on the pitch" but ... well... they were probably having fun right???

Aceval was laughing on the sidlines last game right? I bet you he was telling everybody about the party they were gonna have that night. Im disappointed with Soolsma to be honest, cant say i wouldnt be sad too if i lost my job when he worked so hard to get.

The team is 1-0-10 and there is no road curfew?

Just wondering when the club is going to make a statement about this. Obviously until we know the details in full we should reserve a lot of judgement on the trio but should not the club have a policy in place to perhaps prevent this kind of stuff from happening in the first place?

What went down and who was responsible and who ran is to me almost irrelevant. Its done and the truth will come out in due course after due process.

Where was TFC in all this and what specific policies/procedures do they have in place that should be preventing this kind of embarrassment in the first place are questions I would like answered.

And to be honest, it's not that big of a deal to me, but I do find both the situation and the timing quite funny.

So how do we feel about the boys if it comes out that people were making fun of the fact that they play for TFC and say one objected and the other 2 wouldn't leave because they're backing their team mate?

Total spit-balling here, just making a statement to make people think twice before judging before knowing the details.
