My point was less about about comparing Preki to Winter or anyone else. The G&M article claims that "In Mariner, Toronto finally has a proven MLS coach in the dugout." That's total bullshit: lazy journalism or just plain a message planted from the club.

Well, after this latest debacle, I would like to think that Anselmi's days as CEO of TFC are numbered with the pending sale of MLSE. The timing and the optics of this announcement are synonymous with every other bone headed decision he's ever made.
I'm disgusted to be honest, but I will give Paul Mariner the benefit of the doubt moving forward, and hopefully he will help lead TFC on a positive trajectory.

I'm glad people are finally waking up and seeing Tom Anselmi for who and what he is. This is a man who has presided over a club that has now gone through 7 coaches/managers in 6 years with little no tangible league success. He himself said that the buck stopped with him, but it's obvious he doesn't actually believe in that philosophy because he's not stepping down either.
