Default North end needs to be supporters end

The North end is way more intimidating end to look at vs the south end.

A Supporters end/stand and the supporters role are all about creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for the opposition I think we should seriously consider lobbying the FO to switch the North End to a Supporters end (official or Additional).

Being in a corner (the Southeast Corner) is like being an away fan in my opinion and I think a united supporters group in the north would be way more intimidating.

You could leverage the fact that Old Trafford has the executive end opposite the supporters end and the room to develop that in the south end is readily available just a progressive idea in my mind.

    Thoughts?

The south end is more intimidating because it's closer to the pitch. I like the idea of the north end being the away supporters area.

Why can't we have both? I'm sure there's a few hundred people outside of the southeast corner that would want to unite in the north. I doubt it would happen though because it would mean the FO would have to do some work reassigning current season ticket holders, nevermind the whole idea of a fan controlled section.

I don't think they'll ever make those north stands supporters b/c of the price point they want to sell them at.

104/105 was organically becoming a supporters section but that was stamped out in '09.

I think its more the incline of the seats and height of supporters that makes a stand intimidating. Unless you're right on the pitch like grounds in England it doesn't make to much of a difference.

I sat on the halfway line had a little chat with hoilett (another story) but looking at the two stands the yanks looked way more impressive.

sorry, but im gonna cut this thread off because it's been discussed elsewhere already. the following is a list of other places this issue has been brought up:

    http://redpatchboys.ca/forums/showth...ight=North+end
    http://redpatchboys.ca/forums/showth...ight=North+end
    http://redpatchboys.ca/forums/showth...ight=North+end

feel free to chime in and bump one of those threads to see a discussion, a list of reasons for/against, and just a general RPB opinion on the matter. i don't want to stifle new ideas, but i also don't want the old ones to fall by the wayside, if you'd like me to merge this thread with any of the others on here, shoot me a PM.
