Couldn't disagree more about being 100% behind Mariner, to me he must make the playoffs this season to be considered a good move because most people thought that Winter could have made the playoffs next year. Also the way Winter was fired leaves a bad taste in my mouth considering that he was starting to win games and then was fired, everyone knew that TFC was going to struggle to make the playoffs this year. Also people forget that before Winter was fired it was reported that there was schism in the front office between Mariner and Winter, with Mariner actively trying to undermine Winter something that doesn't inspire confidence or loyalty.
TFC... the team you want to welcome to your stadium... easy 3 points every time.

I think we'd have to be a little bit crazy to say we were on the brink of something positive. Yeah we won a couple games, but overall the team was (and still is) crap. Winter had enough dirt on him to be a deadman several times over.
This issue is that Paul Mariner is very much connected to the results of the past, so he should fall on the sword in every way as much as Winter did.
Fack, could have been a red card against Henry & a dangerous free kick for KC. Glad for a change that the ref sucks.
Changes at the board level have the potential for real change. A few months ago in a newspaper article Anselmi admitted he needed board approval to fire the coach - that's probably why it happened at such a bad time (after a couple of good games), because they were waiting for the scheduled meeting.
But there's nothing to say that new board members will also need to be the final approval on coaching changes (which was probably really a money issue asthey have to pay out Winter's salary and Mariner likely gets a raise with the new job).
Bell have made huge changes with the way CTV is run, maybe they'll make big changes with MLSE as well.
I am still waiting for JDG to play for TFC
it's not like TFC has been totally inept on offence. but defence. fucking shite

Game has changed since silva came on. Should have started over Dudfield.
My preference was to keep Winter, stick to the plan for once, and give him the entire last year in his contract of 2013.
Now it's fire Anselmi, Cochrane, Beirne, and let the new guy set up a plan that he will hopefully stick to for 3 years. Including the coach and core of players he picks FOR FUCK SAKES!
Anselmi is an ass-clown. That's not Mariner's fault so he get's my support because there is no alternative in this regard. Must support the skipper.
LOL ref admits that Dunfield is essentially playing for KC. Ball goes off Dunfield, we get a corner kick.
For fucks sake.
What those of us who were criticizing Winter were saying is that he was too inflexible in how he applied the 4-3-3. With KC you see a team playing 4-3-3 the way it should be played in MLS.

Some people said we were jumping to conclusions to think that Mariner would change the style to 4-4-2 longball. Well guess who was right?

Exactly. This is how we should be playing 4-3-3, no need to abandon the formation for 442. of course we'd still need better CBs and a speedy CF.
lol. RJ taking out two KC defenders with one shot

What happened to Frings? Jesus, I realize he is older, and playing a more defensive role, but how could he have 0 goals in mls? Some of the goals he scored for Germany or Dortmund were spectacular. Is he just collecting a paycheque here?
That would make a great gif.
Nice pass to the goalie.

What a dive by SKC. a little more height and he would be on the moon. Come on ref, that shit cant fly in the league (no pun intended).
37% possession TFC.

Im glad the substitutions have been decent but I dont agree with keeping Dunfield in the game and switching the formation to a 4-1-2-1-2. Should of kept Avila in there.
It's a quarter after one, TFC flatuates like they need some help right now.
