Run Leeds fans...run as fast as you can.

I don't believe Leeds fans will be as forgiving of MLSE's incompetence as Toronto fans have been.
MLSE will likely reinvest most of what the fans spend - so if they sell enough tickets they'll buy players. It might be interesting to see how MLSE handle a team in a non-salary-cap league.

Purchasing a BPL or Championship team now would be a guaranteed investment if one of the big 6 in the premier has to sell players to raise funds. Many other clubs might be forced to sell if they can't make their payroll or loan repayments. There's talk of further doom in January or late this year in the financial market.

I think they also made an offer for Sheffield Wednesday or United. That was in 2008.

I just don't get how MLSE could go shopping for clubs in England with their own impending sale.

ML$E later decided that they didn't want to invest anywhere without a salary cap, so any investment in England is off the table.

An article on the new training ground
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

That's what makes me think all this is just a load of shite. But as a Leeds supporter myself, when I first saw the headline, I just about shat my pants!
