Purchasing a BPL or Championship team now would be a guaranteed investment if one of the big 6 in the premier has to sell players to raise funds. Many other clubs might be forced to sell if they can't make their payroll or loan repayments. There's talk of further doom in January or late this year in the financial market.

ML$E later decided that they didn't want to invest anywhere without a salary cap, so any investment in England is off the table.
