Lambe's played all right. Johnson's snakebit. Should be wide all the time.

I look at our lineup and all the personalities and we lack one thing, big time. A leader. We don't have a single guy who is a "take the game on his back" kind of guy. Frings has the ethic, but is not an outgoing personality and looks quite broken down this season.

    Jason deVos@jasondevos
@WheelerTSN Long-term, that will work. Short term, coach needs support to sign good players. No coach at #TFC has had that.

Dont even compare Mista with Johnson. Mista is 100X the player Johnson will ever be, look at his record and where he played. Of course when we got him he was over the hill and cashing a paycheque.

Thats because DC United is playing the mercy rule, they wont get anyone hurt and they wont tire out the best players. How much do you really have to beat a team to really beat them, this is a good time to play defensive and play some youngsters.

If MLSE wants to save face they better start offering some refunds for SSH. At least comp them beer the rest of the season. AT LEAST.

The issue with #TFC is, they outsourced the hiring of their technical staff to an outsider. You can't artificially create an identity.

    He's right.

Never play Johnson as striker.... A normal striker would have scored a hat-trick with all those sitters he missed

I liked Mista, and regret his early departure. Sometimes I think the brains behind building TFC would have trouble picking a select squad from a kids house league. They strike me as blind fools who know a lot about making money, picking a nice colour for their bmw, or a the right colour socks for their italian loafers, and, by placing so much faith in their abilities, must surely know how to build a soccer team, or a hockey team, or a basket ball team.....

His other point (need a real soccer person as president) is the other half of the equation. Rogers knows this from baseball (Bell has no clue when it comes to sports management). In the long term, I'm hoping Rogers sports management approach takes over from Tannembaum's.

I said it when Preki was in and even when Mo was pulling his own strings, that we just don't sign good enough players. I think very few of our players -- maybe not any -- would start on another MLS team right now. Maybe Ecks, but he's had a shaky year. Koevermans, if he stayed healthy.

    What a shitshow.

Payroll does not equal good players.

If the rumours about Winter wanting to bring in certain players, but were nixed by Earl/Paul are true....then they should go along with Winter if TFC decides to fire him.

    Caicedo and Aceval.

It would be interesting to know how much influence there is over signing players. Who negotiates the contracts? Have any of the guys who've "run" TFC ever been involved on contract negotiations before they came here? (I guess Mariner?) I'm wondering how many times the soccer guys have brought a player to TFC only to have the negotiations break down.
