We can't hit the reset button every season.
Yes, this year sucks (outside of the CCL success).
But i'd rather have winter/mariner/deklerk than the alternatives out there.
the injury bug is a big factor.
with Frings playing mid, and when Danny K comes back...I think things will get better.
Agreed again. They know they are sucking it. Any negativity is not going to help. We need show our support through the thick and thin. Lord knows it will not be easy, but I think we have to make the effort.
Avila up for goal of the week. Well deserved. Nice tactical decision there by Winter to put him on the left wing. I was skeptical when I saw the lineup, but he got that one right. Avila had a monster game.
Exactly, Im a paying customer, one that started paying in year one. One that bought seats when few others were. The one who bought original TFC gear, showed up to watch the team play on the BMO screen in the pouring rain.
At the end of the day, I pay for this product and this product sucks.
If I was at a restaurant I would send this undercooked, poorly seasoned meal back. But in this case all I'll do is remain silent (vocally, phyiscally, and $$ wise) because booing, although somewhat deserved , isn't all that productive.
Except in a restaurant there is a reasonable expectation of decently cooked/seasoned food, where in sports there is no guarantee of anything except watching the event live. Our tickets do not guarantee wins, satisfaction or FO competence.
Not true. The expectation is that you will be served food, not that it is any good. Much like in sports.
If the team trotted out 11 players who twiddled their thumbs while the opposing team scored a goal per minute and then everyone went home, that would still be contractually all that is needed by the team.
There is an expectation in sports of quality and competence, just like there is in any product that is purchased. The problem in sports is that the consumer will put up with a shitty product a lot longer than they would from a restaurant. But the fundamentals are still the same. Put a bad product out there and eventually you lose your customers.
kind of like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejTTJmJSHkk i do think we resemble the Long John Silver Impersonators...
