I think that about sums it up for me. Even if they gave us tickets for free it would still piss me off. WHy disadvantage the team this way? It's not like we breeze into the playoffs every year and can afford the fun and hi-jinx mid-season. Besides which, Liverpool will be rusty and leggy with all the pre-season training, so what odds that someone like Skrtel takes out someone like Johnson with a wayward tackle and knackers our season completely?
Stupidity. Utter stupidity.
Stop trying to "grow" the sport by marketing to part-time glory seekers and start trying to grow it properly by making it a serious league. Getting thrashed by Liverpool won't grow the fan base. Making the play offs will.

is it confirmed that Liverpool plays TFC or another UK/European club?
All Manc's should be banned from commenting in this thread. It would be the reasonable thing to do... (looking at Pete)
Really? A friendly? During our season? That's our focus now?
Alrighty then.
I don't care if TFC is playing Barcelona or Man U for a friendly. No friendlies during league season
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
