Positive way to start the year! Two game series, win on the road, TFC did not trail in either game. Dangerous on the counter despite the imbalance of possession. They could have folded after the own goal but didn't!

Now I'm really looking forward to a good year!

Huge win for TFC, and for Toronto to put itself on the world football map.
And it's the best kept secret in Toronto too. Few people know (or care) about TFC and their current success.

I thought they would atleast mention something on the radio this morning, 590 and 1050 just talked about March Madness, the skimmed over it on the updates.

Some major papers don't even have "the news" about it, yet a week ago they did this special coverage because of Sold out Rogers centre..

    grumble grumble...

    oh well, TFC TFC

not meaning to burst anyone's bubble but..
even with that amazing, world reaching win. . . its still second page news in Toronto.

As long as the Leafs are here, everything else will ALWAYS be second page news.

For what it's worth, there's nothing yet on the MLS site either.

I really think it was the 12'th man in both games that made the difference. For us the dome spoke for itself. But man an empty stadium has to be deflating for the LA players after playing in Toronto. No LA player seemed jacked up for the game. They just wanted to get their win over with, and get to.... Seattle? (6-1 Santos over Seattle... different story that's for sure)

I'll save my comments about L.A., Beckham, opening day against Seattle, Santos, or ticket prices for the Santos game.

    Today is a celebration day!!!!!

Radio updates say it'll be March 27th.

I don't mind if Aron runs some kids out for the home opener if this is the case, and rests the 'A' team.

Yikes..5 games in 14 days. At least with the exception of a trip to Mexico, there is not a lot of travel in there.

    Mar 24th - San Jose @ BMO
    Mar 27th - Santos @ BMO
    Mar 31 - KKKrew @ BMO
    April 3rd - Santos away
    April 7th - Montreal away

It will be interesting to see how Winter handles this. Normally I'd expect/hope to see some players rested for the CCL games, but I really can't see him putting out anything but his strongest side for the home opener.

While I am extremely happy to be through to the next stage, I've said many times before, going deep in the CCL is not going to help us in the league. We don't have the depth...

The dates I put in my previous post are from the CONCACAF site.

I can't see him resting players for the home opener. TFC is going to try and rebuild momentum/interest with the fans, and capitalizing on the home opener, after the success of the Rogers match - I just don't see it.

3 games in 7 days for LA vs 2 games in the same period for us. That's a tough schedule for any MLS team. Arena was bringing on the scrubs near the end.

LA just didn't look fit to me. Didn't look like Arena had them ready to go.

so it's not just me? At around 12:30 last night the RPB forum was very, very slow. Other websites were working fine for me so it's not my Internet connection.

Hopefully he has an inside track about it getting moved - cause the official schedule says the 27th

I am on holiday and just watched Game in 6. Wow. The whole thing is surreal.

That Kocic stop on Keane was incredible.

I would recommend avoiding watching the Santos Laguna-Seattle highlights (it's better for the dream that way!).

Yes. That's what I assumed was meant when Eastend said 'Per CONCACAF site'.

I would hope that everyone in the stadium on March 24th is aware of the magnitude of the game on Tuesday and accepts an understrength squad for Satruday.

Hells, I know I'll be pissed if I see the same group of lads from last night's game take the pitch at BMO for the Home Opener. You have to play some of them obviously, but I'd be happy to see the Academy run out there.

I think this is what Aron will do as well, noting the team that played Vancouver in Orlando.

In Los Angeles, the Galaxy was upset by a cynical Toronto FC 2-1 in front of a piddling 7,500 fans
I stopped reading after that until

    5. Santos will destroy TFC

Wednesday was a nice night for Toronto, a franchise short on achievement and long on disappointment. But after seeing what Santos did to Seattle -- a side we can all agree is more seasoned and well-rounded than Toronto -- we might lose considerable collagen in our collective faces from all the wincing we'll when it faces Santos in a tie over two legs that could be plenty painful for TFC.

That is a smart tactic when when a fast attack plays against a slow backline playing a high line.

Some lucky officiating and standout keeping saved our bacon on that front.

CONCACAF site indicates the game is to be played on 03/26/2012. This means that the game must be played that week, and it's up to the two teams (presumably the home team).

Haven't TFC played every NutCan, CCL qualifier, CCL group, and CCL knockout games on Wednesday?

Personally, I hope the game is on the Wednesday as it gives the team an extra day to get ready.

I also have to work on the Tuesday evening, although, I'd just have to swap with the guy who'd be working the Wednesday evening.
O, Maple Leaf around the world, You speak as you rise high above,
