Default TFC @ LA, CCL leg 2 match/postmatch thread

    Lineup:

Kocic, Eckersley, Frings, Aceval, Harden, Morgan, Soolsma, DeGuzman, Plata, Koevermans, Johnson.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

So Soolsma instead of Silva. I thought Silva did enough to start.

Silva could be great off the bench when LA players are tiring...

Very interesting, no Silva. Probably gets subbed on for Soolsma in the second half I would think.

Are people using the Sportsnet stream or CONCACAF?

BTW, Santos has taken a 5-3 lead on aggregate.

Basically the same lineup as the win in Dallas...without Iro. They'll bring Silva in for Soolsma at half to add speed against a tired LA squad.

interesting that Frei is dropped after his error on the first last week and perhaps he could have done better on the 2nd.

I'm pleased to see Kocic out there.

If it goes to PKs, I'd rather have Kocic between the pipes. He's also more confident in the box, which is more likely to be a factor than Frei's superior shot-stopping.

I kike the line up. Johnson is going to play the #10 Soolsma on the RW. He should be able to tire out the D then put in Lambe . I also think if the game goes to extra time johnson would play ST and silva would come on for Koev. Doesn't really matter TFC 3 LA 1 we win tonight I can feel it.

Really? Thought it may be a mistake? Look at where 'k' and 'l' are on a keyboard before you jump on your high horse.

Johnson at AM makes more sense than soolsma. Soolsma takes Johnson spot on the right side and he slides back. It gives you more options late in the game for a sub as whichever fwd tires first gets subbed out for Silva and Johnson takes their place.

In a weird way, seeing Seattle getting routed makes me kinda okay with not beating LA tonight. There's no way Santos is going down to an MLS club.

(This is me just covering my bases in case of a loss tonight)

TFC would do better than Seattle, being more technical and playing a 4-3-3.

Kocic for his cross handling is a better choice against LA and the foot of David Beckham.

    Good move.
