Rory Fallon to TFC? Mariner was at Motherwell/Aberdeen over the weekend so the Scottish Sun goes into speculation mode.

    MLS Sets Canadian Ratings Record

The opening MLS game of the 2012 season set a new ratings record in Canada. The Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Montreal Impact game on Saturday night drew an average of 541, 000 viewers (288, 000 on TSN and 253, 000 on RDS). If anything, this is a testament to the anticipation of the new team in Quebec. I am interested to see if the stronger ratings can hold throughout the season. Last year’s MLS season opener between the Whitecaps and Toronto FC previously the highest watched MLS game in Canada. An average of 289, 000 watched it on TSN.

hmm left footed center back who seems to be good with his feet and play with a sense of swagger... should be interesting to see how he plays... could he cover at left back as well?

I guess the other possibility is that he frees up Aceval to play there if anything untoward happens with Ashtone Morgan. Aceval was often described as a left back prior to being signed.

The highlights show someone pretty good at long-balls. Looks like he'll need to work on his short-passing game, and on his accuracy. Noticeably absent are any 1-1 defending plays, something that is pretty important in MLS.

I'd say based on this that he has potential, but will still need to work on his game.

I would say, that team he played for liked the long ball, and he's decent at it.

In the TFC-Vancouver game, Emory was also good at short passing, and at holding the ball or dribbling a bit to bide time & find open teammates. I think there's no need to worry on that point.

I don't think we've seen enough to fully evaluate his defensive capabilities. However, in Orlando Emory did OK against the likes of Hassli. I'm just a bit surprised now that Emory is primarily left-footed. We seem to be stockpiling those types of guys. Not necessarily a natural RCB, although his right foot seems decent.

Scoring rate is sub par and in low divsion footy. Fits the target man mold though.
