whoever this Blanco guy is for Metapan deserves a look. you put two past Pumas (and the first one is a bit of skill involved), you're going to get noticed. (and Pumas apparently played mostly first team)

Interesting both Mexican teams lost but in Mexico it should be way different.

Oh wow. That is...that's something all right.

I can't say I hate it, but I really don't like it, either. Whatever it is, it's very that.

Seattle is a straight-out Mexican slash South American team. I watched a bit of the game, and they are now a full ball-control possession latin-style team with only a few token American players. They look very good, by the way.

A 2-1 result is probably not enough for Seattle to win in Mexico City. 2-0 and they would have had a chance.

The Metapam result is certainly one of the more shocking results in this tourney. Their supporters must be ecstatic.

I don't think they go to Mexico City. Santos is based somewhere else. I know Pumas is, though.

I think a draw is possible.

I didn't watch the extended (20 min.) Seattle -- Santos Laguna highlights until now. Wow, two excellent teams! I must say, Seattle looks far better (at least in the highlights) than what I've seen from the Galaxy (or TFC) until now this year. Also surprised how much the ref let them play, again at least in the highlights, he let many things slide. Another CONCACAF ref might have whistled more, or even found an excuse to call a penalty kick in that game.

they're improving. i think they're more likely to lose 3-1 than 2-0, if they lose, the attack has some quality to it
