Frings. He has the uncanny ability to know exactly where the ball is going to end up, long before it actually arrives. As a result he makes so many clean headers, often w/o even needing to jump, or clearances/passes with his feat, just through proper positioning & standing his ground. Plus all the other stuff mentioned above.

Morgan was also great as mentioned, really punching above his weight.

Silva is also great. He had some very soft shots though. I know he can shoot better than that -- saw it in pre-season for example. Some combination of the plastic turf, and big-game jitters, affected him last night. I'm sure we'll see better.

Next week I hope Silva + JDG can boss the midfield a bit more, together with Frings in whatever role he plays.

I know nobody seems to agree with me on this, but Frings as a defenders is a MASSIVE player for TFC. I KNOW we got him here as a midfielder, but at the backline he find so much time and space and really knows how to dictate the pace of the game. Some of is passing from the back was outstanding last night, and none of our other central defenders can do the things Frings does with the ball.

There will be times Frings can play in midfield, but at sweeper/centre back Frings is outstanding!

I voted Frings for all the reasons that everyone in here has already mentioned.

Ashtone Morgan...controlled the wing and Ladycakes,.and had numerous crosses right on the money toooo....oh ya NOBODY ran up to the far corner to get the gifts.....just a wonderful lad from TO....Ok maybe Frings was the elder statesman but his spirit I know he would pass the hat. Ryan played one of his best games ever, as well,...and what can you say about Silva.....a keeper, I'd say. So much joy, and we missed JDG BIG time . Dare I say if he played we'd have won what with the effort of the squad. He'd have defensively contolled our end giving Frings a lift.......very proud day, A team is found ,.our team

We really DID miss JDG. I don't mind Dunfield, but he isn't as mobile as JDG. Dunfield is "functional" rather than anything fancy. JDG has a change of pace and vision that Dunfield never could have. Dunfield looks like he's be a good enforcer, but he never really does...enforce enough?

I know this is off topic but did you guys see Morgan fight with those la players ... i think morgan can be the mls version of Gattuso, Ibrahimovic, or Roy Keane. The amount of energy and speed he has is incredible too

YESSS!!! I chose Frings. Even in my drunken otherworldly state from 117, I could tell that Frings was solid throughout, being in the right place at the right time, just being stand up.

Obviously it was Frings, but I voted Morgan because it was his finest game as a pro, on the biggest stage, and he deserves the pat on he back.

    Of course Frings!
Nobody could come even close to him as MOM for TFC.

One question to the person who nominated Danny K: are you joking, right?
