Default TFC vs LAG, Man of the Match

Last night provided some real positive moments for several players. Ryan Johnson's beautiful poach to get things started. Silva's brilliant header than almost seemed to overwhelm him. Platita testing the Galaxy defenders. Frings with two assists and overall tough play.

Who was your man of the match?

Frings was my choice. Two assists and playing all over the field including marshalling the back line.

Luis Silva, but Torsten Frings was pretty damn good as well.

Frings, hands down. Two assists, fantastic passing through out, positionally spot on all match, saved what looked to be a goal off the line (was hard to tell from my vantage if it was going in or if Frei had it though). Best player on the field for me.

Silva - not quite for me, but man was I impressed with him. Fantastic goal, great movement off the ball, good vision and passing ability, looks to be able to hold the ball. All of that on his pro debut in front of a crowd that size.

Frings. couldn't ask more from that guy. though I don't think the 1st goal counts as an assist as it bounced off a LA defender...

    Frings is just a beast!

His passing is always pin point accurate, especially when switching play to the other side. Its tough enough to put the ball percisely where you want it, and I'm sure Plata's height doesn't make it any easier crossing to the lines without fear of putting too much on it and sailing out for a throw.

92% - Luis Silva completed 92% of his passes, won 100% of his duels and scored a goal vs LA Galaxy. Natural. #TFC #CCL

Frings was hands down the best TFC player on the pitch. The man is a beast. He is so calm under pressure.

Although Frings would seem to be the obvious choice, I picked Silva. What a debut for the rookie. Showed all the poise of a veteran out there.

A toll is a toll. And a roll is a roll. And if Roogsy don't get no tolls, Roogsy don't eat no rolls. (I made that up meself)

I picked Morgan. I don't think he played better than Frings but I thought he 'punched above his weight' in keeping Donovan out of the game for the most part. Plus I thought he could use a little love and deserved at least one vote.
