While we're on the topic of city boners, I'd like to throw in that I LOVE Cape Town, South Africa. Only city in the world I've seen that I'd move to in a heartbeat.

Good job Portland though, nice to have them in the league. Pushes the rest of us.

I`m curious to know what the Impact have in the works for tomorrow, if anything.

You would think their ultras would have something big lined up... at least a display.

So they are far from pathetic.

Agreed. What was "pathetic" was the empty seats around them. But they are not pathetic but admirable. I stand corrected.

Seattle's and KC's should also be good. I've noticed Seattle's home opener tifos tend to stand out the most, aside of course, from their tifos against Portland which are of the highest standard (ex. Decades of Dominance)

I wonder if we'll see any smoke/flares in the MTL game. Both UM02 and Section 8 are notorious for their use of smoke/flares but seeing as they are likely to be banned at the Big O, it could land them in hot water with MLS.

I think they would have much more if allowed, but they were only allowed 7500.

    LOL!

The start of this season has been pretty crazy in terms of tifo and displays around the league. I'm interested in seeing what the rest of the season holds in store.

And that's apparently what he was getting at.

The display was pretty good. A three colour flag tifo is not something we've pulled off here in T.O yet.

Is this the UM02 tifo? If so I was expecting something a little more creative from them.

EDIT: not that this is bad, but depends on others a little much and came out kind of patchy.

Seattle's chants are cringe worthy. That's quite the tifo, though. My hats off to those dorks and hipsters.

To what jazzy said: Id say yes if LA sold out the 7,000 tickets in 1 day then they sure could of got more fans but someone on this board said that LA was even having a hard time selling the full 7,000 tickets after being on sale for weeks. And LA play in a 28,000 seat stadium, if a team could sell out a stadium they would, no owners say oh id rather not make money off of ticket sales, instead i will just keep this game for the hardcore fans and treat them to have the whole stadium to themselves, that just doesn't happen.

nice tifo. Seattle and portland seem to have the most Tifos in the League, and they are usually impressive. TFC we have some good tifos, and the one at sky dome was awsome but we don't have them as often, unless we change that this year!

using black cards for the snake or black foil would really take this tifo to the next level

Love the panoramic shots of PPL park with the bridge in the back. Really wanted to watch the game last October but was too worried about being shot in Chester...

MLS supporter culture, Tifos exc this year is reaching new high. I can't believe its getting to the level it is, at this rate in another few years you are going to see some spectacular displays all across the league all the time!

I thought last season saw the best tifos but I also think you're right James, the best are yet to come. Not surprisingly, the best ones occur during derbys and there will be plenty this year.

the "ultras" style of support is starting to take control of support in MLS.

I use "ultra" style for the lack of a better term, "ultra" style supporting, not "ultra" style nonsense

    badger support is taking over
    because badgers are rabid
