Default The New Menu at Toronto FC

    Hey guys,

I had a chance to attend the Toronto FC food tasting yesterday.

Here are some of the new menu items at BMO Field, including a revolutionized Chip Butty!

    The B.L.T. Hotdog

Smoked Beef Brisket Hotdog with Creamy Coleslaw

The Garlic and Parsley Chip Butty

    The Poutine Chip Butty

    Black Bean Tacos

Can someone tell me where this food is actually served at BMO? Every year I hear about these "fancy" new items on the menu and all I see is pizza and hot-dogs.

The hotdogs are near the south stand, there will be a taco stand on the north west of the stadium.

    There's a map now too.

    Meatless options, I approve.

Armen, is the gravy on the poutine dog veggie friendly? (Mushroom gravy?)

I know the bean tacos, chip butty original, and buffalo chip butty are vegetarian friendly, as well as the pierogi. I thought they had meat in them but I was made aware that they are vegetarian so that's being changed in the article.

I will ask about the gravy. They didn't specify that it was mushroom gravy which makes me inclined to think it's not, but I'll double check.

    Blood pudding that is awesome.

    Currywurst will be tried.

Poutine Chip Butty is the best idea ever

Little unsure of the BLT Dog, everything else looks great.

SHIT... none of this will be at Rogers Center. How am I supposed to watch a game without a beer and a Chip butty or scotched egg.

parsley and garlic have no place on a chip butty, but that poutine one looks pretty sweet. why's it in a hot dog bun though?

    Because it's better that way!
It's not a hotdog bun, it's this italian bun that's been cut down the middle, kind of like a Subway bun.

Not to be the biggest dick in the world, but if you're vegan, mushroom gravy is not always so.

I only say this because my vegan friends would want to know...

it won't be better, sure professionally prepared it works, but when it's being mass produced by minimum wagers, they'll mess it up, and you'll just get a hot dog bun with a bunch of fries on top of it, barely even inside the bun and it'll be chaotic and messy and you'll lose half the fries trying to put it together. Pretty much exactly like it was the last time I tried them there a couple of years ago

    consider me sceptical.

That looks like the next step for Smoke's Poutinery.

Those look like fresh cut fries, which would be a huge improvement over the last time I ate fries at BMO Field, which were frozen.

Poutine butty looks great, but I am so glad there is finally currywurst at BMO! Oh, and the blood pudding = win! Been a long time since I've eaten anything there, guess I will this year.
