Eyebrows were then raised when a giant slab of concrete fell from the ceiling of an Olympic Park underground parking facility on March 4. Then came a report from a local radio station, which indicated that work would not be completed before Stade Saputo’s opening game against Seattle.

Should the stadium not be fully completed, says Legendre, the emphasis will lie on the aspects needed to actually play a game and welcome 20,341 fans, namely the grass and the stands.

The club has nevertheless insisted progress was good and the deadline was expected to be met. Personnel are on the construction site every weekday and work overtime on most weekends in order to deliver a fully renovated stadium.

They are cuttung it very close, very close!

Fuck, but that looks nice. We should all head down there for a road trip (but not during the summerish months, the combined heat and humidity is brutal, as I've experienced).

as much as I love BMO Field, I am jealous of BBVA Compass Stadium
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

That is a beauty, right up there with Red Bull Arena. The thing it has going for itself is being downtown as opposed to the boonies of Harrison, New Jersey in the case of RBNY.

Beautiful ground. And less than half the cost of Redbull Arena!
It's amazing how far this league has come in just a few short years.

Beautiful ground but I still prefer RBA and LSP. Congrats to Dynamo fans.

Love how steep the stands are.

And the league sure has. New stadiums for NYRB, Sporting KC, now Houston.

The US definitely has the stadium infrastructure for another World Cup bid. They have the big American football stadiums plus smaller 20,000+ stadiums too.

    Really helps USA Soccer.

Yeah the steep stands are fantastic, especially in the corners. The ground is modern, yet still has an intimidating feel.

Very nice, a stadium to be proud of.
