Its just the new tech that addidas put into the shirts. Couple teams had them last year, looks like they are adding us to the list. They still have the old style, with the option for players to try that one out, if they want it.

Those "straps" are part of the techfit line of Adidas kits, which have been around for a few years now. We've never had a TFC techfit jersey before. Some people seem to really like them, some hate them, they have a unique fit.

I'm personally a huge fan and would love to grab a TFC techfit if this turns out to be legit for this season. Expect a hefty price tag though.

As far as I saw the team didn't wear teh techfit, but they were available. I saw a couple people with them.

Thanks for the background on this. For what it's worth, I'm not a fan of the look.

But Robert F. Kennedy Jr. having a TFC jersey is kinda cool. I would love to know who gave it to him and why.

I bought one of those techfit tops a couple years ago (not TFC).

The thing with them is they look great if you have the upper body of a pro athlete because it really emphasizes the muscles. However, if you don't have an athlete's body, it emphasizes things that are better left hidden.
