For the people that have made road trips, how would you rank them? Which games should be at the top of our lists?
I know some of the visiting stadiums don't look like much fun to visit. And some cities provide a better travel experience than others.
Saturday April 7 - Montreal 1:00 pm (Easter)
Saturday May 19 D.C. 7:30 pm (Victoria Day)
Sunday July 8 Philadelphia 5:00 pm
Saturday July 14 Boston 7:30 pm
Saturday August 4 Chicago 8:30 pm (Civic)
Saturday August 11 Columbus 7:30 pm
Saturday September 1 Kansas City 8:30 pm (Labour Day)
Saturday September 29 New York 7:00 pm
Sunday October 28 Columbus 4:00 pm

For 2012 i would put Montreal, D.C. and Chicago as my top 3 road trips with NYC trip is just outside top 3.
Montreal - i think the game in April is a must road trip for everyone. you can make it a same day trip and very inexpensive or stay and have fun in Montreal for a long weekend.
D.C - D.C. is a great city to visit for everything from football (stadium is nothing to look at but it works and DC has a very good support), nightlife is great and sightseeing is great. Another perfect long weekend trip for 2012. Also once in DC you don't need a car and megabus has some great deals (like $10 roundtrip) from Toronto to D.C.
KC - great stadium, great people, great food and on top of that KC is a city of fountains . KC also has some good sightseeing. if you are driving 15 hour drive is not that bad or you can get some good deal to fly from buffalo. if you want to see KC you need a car, they have public transit, but it's not good.
Philadelphia - i have nothing good to say about Philly. The Dinning Car chocolate chip pancakes is the only highlight in this city in my opinion.
Boston - great city to visit, fun trip and i really don't like the stadium. stay in the city if you are going to boston
Chicago - same as D.C. another perfect long weekend trip for 2012 and this year Lollapalooza is the same weekend. unfortunately no megabus deals and it is better to have a car in chicago as getting to the stadium is a pain.
Columbus - fun road trip, i would go in October during a school year, make sure to visit Brothers Bar. Nothing much to see, stadium is okey, but nightlife is great. Shit club, but i like people and had no issues in Columbus.
New York - New York is New York, plus megabus has some great deal for this trip and you don't need a car.
If you have good traveling companions you will have great time visiting any on the cities/stadiums on the list above. Also keep in mind that you can make your trips very affordable (last year we made KC trip for around $140 each all in, Columbus trip was also $140 until we started to really drink at Brothers (great bar))
Hope this helps.

philly was alright...i might have been a little young for it when i went
new england was cool, just cuz patriots place was bouncing after the game, but going to foxboro really sucks
montreal is sick...well cuz montreal has some great night entertainment.
nyc is a great city; so much to do, haven't made the nyrb trip yet thx to weekday games the last 2 years
the rest of the cities (in the east minus houston and kansas city), i have been to, but not at a legal drinking age...columbus is by far the best city in America
I'm planning a 5-day mini-vacation around the Chicago game in August. I will arrive early this time and bring the BBQ gear.
Is MegaBus for real?
$1 to Buffalo? I'm at a loss for words ...
what about that turkey though! sweet mother of god that whole menu was good. who gets pancakes with beer though?!?
greatest travel companion? me. seriously. you'll never be so offended, confused, scared, lost, terrified, and for some reason, aroused? then getting on the road with me.
as of october, that sticker is still there.
those peeps in philly want us back. they're good people. terrifying town to be out on your own. but man tattoo moms is awesome.

First away trip for me this year will be at the dome. Second will probably be Montreal.
Love having two away games that are 2 1/2 hrs closer to me than home games. Definitely will be at both Montreal games.

Definetly in for both Montreal away games, plus I'm thinking of flying down to DC for that one (Porter fly there now). NY is going to be a must and I may even consider Chicago.
Long weekends + Football + Beer = Heaven
Kudos to the MLS for scheduling this year
I was In KC too last year.
Im heading again this year.
My buddy and I were the 2 idiots that brought the Canada flag out.
Great stadium!
It was my first away game and frankly i didnt know what to expect. All the boys that came out to support were great! We never stopped the singing once.
It was nice that Eck came over at the end of the game to acknowledge us.
Hats off to the KC supporters who invited us to there pub after...where the singing continued.
For the guys who did show up....We made the KC sports cast that night.
If only i knew how to post the pictures on here.
I'm hoping to head to the Easter Montreal game as I'll already be in Ottawa for the weekend. With Lollapalooza happening in Chicago on the same weekend, that one is a no-brainer as well. I've already got my lodgings set-up for both games.
We'll see if I make a second Montreal visit, but it will be more difficult if it's midweek.

D'OH!
The trips I am hoping to make this year are Montreal (April 7th), Boston, Chicago and New York.
So I am planning on bringing about 8 people to the Montreal game, for TFC and Leafs. I'm covered on the Leafs front, but how and where should I buy tickets for the TFC game?
I am actually make a trip through the states and will be able to catch the TFC game vs. Real Salt Lake on April 28th.
If anyone else is heading to that game let me know. I dont imagine there will be many.
was there at salt lake last year, they have a train from downtown right to the stadium.thought it was a beautiful city ,no bad things to say.
Looks like the time for the March 7 game against the Impact has changed from:
1:00 P.M. to Noon.
