That does not look half bad. Would like an upgrade at CB and AM, but I could certainly live with this. Depending on who we play, if we play a offensive powerhouse, we would need more defensive minded players on the wings.

Both competitions allow for changes to the squad list before the knockout rounds.
So does this mean Robbie Keane will be available for LA in March?

And check out this line I just saw mentioned in an article on the LA Galaxy website:

"'I don’t think this competition changes a whole lot with what we’re doing,' Arena said. 'MLS season next year, if I’m not mistaken, starts March 17 so we’re not that far off.'

    100 pages or bust.

Please let it be March 6 or 7, I can't go on March 8 (heading off for March break).

The smart thing would be to put it on the 7th (the Leafs are in town the 6th and 8th).

Home opener? Don't think the CCL game qualifies as "later in March".

    No it is for CCL:

    Paulbeirne Paul Beirne

If we play at the 'Dome it will have to be on grass. At that time of year it will have to come from the Carolinas or FLA.

Looks like we know where Beirne stands on the matter. If it's played at BMO I'm OK with that. Part of me wants to picture the 40k in Rogers Centre going crazy for TFC, but truth be told the way TFC have been mis-managed over the past few years it will be hard to put 25k in the Dome as is.

Doesn't look like he makes his opinion known. He said he's "just getting people talking about it".

Good to know that the home opener will be sometime later in March though!

If Beckham is still part of the Galaxy in March, I'd have no problems paying
upwords to 150.00 smacks for a good seat. If not, my ceiling is 15.00 tops.

I couldn't care less about Beckham. $10 a seat for the uppers, $20 for the lowers is about right.

Beckham's contract is done but most likely LA will offer him a one year contract. It is more likely he will take it than go to PSG (second most likely) and come back to play here before he exercises his purchase option for an MLS team.

Yes, but MLSE also knows that we represent the vast minority of TFC fans.

The only way 40,000 fans will come out for this match is if...

If the good folks at head office were smart (or sneaky) they would start
selling tickets to this game immediately (while the perception still exists
that David Beckham may be part of the MLS). Otherwise, they may miss
out on a golden window of opportunity.

Besides, a pair a tickets to this event would make for a great X-mas gift.

In any case, I hope they don't overprice it. There would be nothing worse
to see on tv than 35,000 empty pale blue seats. On the other hand, a sold
out Rogers Centre (55,000) would just wet everyone's appetite for more.

Doubtful, unless he wants almost no money...Why would Spurs want somebody around who is basically just a late-game substitute dead-ball speacialist???? He's not capable of starting or playing solid defense...
