Smith had clashed with the team's technical director, Paul Bravo, and complained about the team's budget this season.

Oh, the problem of working for an undefunded team. At least, as incompetent as ML$E are at times, they're willing to spend if they think it will make them more money.

    Thanks incorrect.
However, they are willing to spend the minimum amount that will keep the media and fans off their back.

I am a big fan of Anelka and would love to see him play in MLS but just not against TFC unless he has a bad game that day. He has still got skills and speed but it always depends on how he would cope with the physical nature of this league that everyone who comes over always talks about. He is also not a one man show up top and would need the right support. Would be very interesting if he came over though. I guess I will hold off buying that Chelsea jersey with Anelka on the back I know I definitely won't own a Limp Act one.

Don't put down Danny D as one of the candidates for the Colorado job. LOL

Very strange decison at Colorado to let go of their Head Coach Gary Smith a year after being the Champions of MLS #Embarrassing

    [QUOTE]
US star Brek Shea arrives 'for experience'

    By Richard Clarke

Arsène Wenger has explained the agreement that has temporarily brought highly-promising midfielder Brek Shea to Arsenal.

The 21-year-old American is one of the most exciting talents in the MLS and, with his campaign at FC Dallas now over, the League were looking to place him with a leading European club in order to gain experience.

    Arsenal were a natural choice.

Shea will train with "top prospects" at the Club, as well as the first-team. Wenger is keen to give the 6ft 3ins US international a run in the Reserves but he accepts that regulations may scupper that plan.

"It's a training period for him to see what his top level is like," Wenger told Arsenal Player. "The MLS encourage their players to go out to Europe during their off-season for improvement, practice and to have contact with top-level football. That's why Brek Shea is coming here. It is a learning experience for him.

"Brek will train with the first-team when it is possible and practice with the best prospects of the Club as well outside of the normal sessions. There is not a better place than the Premier League to do that."

Shea is one of the three players listed for the MLS Most Valuable Player award this season and Wenger is considering assessing his ability in the Reserve team during his spell in London.

"If it is possible I would like to do it," said Wenger. "We will have to see how it goes because we play many games now and we have to check how it works on the legal side too."/QUOTE]

or maybe the part in bold is just say now that the season is over.. i took it as contract.

According to the V's board Andrew Hainault drawing interest from Bordeaux, Sporting Braga, Malga, and some other clubs in Germany. Agent says his top priority is staying with Houston, but that sounds like nice lip service compared to the opportunities he'll have elsewhere.

I never quite figured this guy out, but I guess everyone else seems to rate him.

Goff reports on the twitter that Charlie Davies not at post season training, meetings, etc. Rumors that Sochaux striker Maiga is going to Newcastle. So I'd say that Davies is going back to Sochaux. Loan to DCU was through Feb 2012.

Revs to announce Jay Heaps as new coach on Tuesday.

Oy vey. Nothing against Heaps but he has ZERO coaching experience. Apparently the new Revs GM talked to a lot of candidates but in picking Heaps, it looks like they went with the loyal servant rather than an experienced coach who would make a lot of demands.
