“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Altidore was also a lot younger when he was drafted.
LA rumoured to be interested in Leeds United's Alex Bruce

Possible loan deal:
http://www1.skysports.com/football/n...axy-want-BruceSky Sports sources understand that LA Galaxy are in talks with Leeds over the availability of Alex Bruce.
The defender is out of favour at Elland Road, making only one appearance for the Whites this season.
He was sent on loan to Huddersfield where he made three starts before being recalled by Leeds boss Simon Grayson to provide cover for Tom Lees.
English born Bruce switched international allegiance in 2011 from the Republic of Ireland to Northern Ireland but a lack of first-team opportunities mean he has yet to force his way into the international squad.

^He also has a not so unusual ailment of just being shite. I have no idea why LA would want him.

United fans certainly unhappy with the team's recent acquisitions (including Maicon Santos):
http://sports.yahoo.com/mls/news?slug=ycn-10868727The next time that MLS commissioner Don Garber complains about the area not building this team a new stadium, perhaps he should look at times like this. Why would any jurisdiction in their right mind build a stadium for a front office that builds a team with castoffs, retreads, and international bargain signings that have not worked out in some time? With such a loyal fan base supporting this team, it is a shame that ownership keeps taking them for granted and fielding minor league rosters.

Another South American to MLS.
Colorado Rapids sign Colombian international MF Jaime Castrillón from Independiente Medellín.

Looks like MLS teams are smartening up and going after the abundant (and relatively cheap) talent from South America.
I remember telling a couple of friends once in 2008 *cough*pronto*cough* (Flush and AL-MO) were witnesses that this was the way to go in the future.
Good tracking for MLS transfers.
Is there any site that's better?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...transfers_2012
I was legitimately asking.
Are there other sites that are good for keeping track of MLS transfers?
Only official site that I know of is http://www.mlssoccer.com/offseason-transactions/2011-12
Besides wiki, there's another very good thread on Big Soccer that gets updated daily. Crowdsourcing seems the way to go.

Boyd targets US switch
Sky Sports understands Kansas City Wizards, Houston Dynamo and Portland Timbers all want to secure his signature

I thought Boyd went to Houston to meet with FO people and afterwards said he wasn't interested in coming. I wonder if the Sky story is not up to date.
Yeah, the most recent news had Boyd rejecting Houston. Even Dominic Kinnear mentioned it was over.
