I am pretty sure Makubuya is a wide player. I've never seen him played as a striker.

He seems similar to Sturridge. I've seen him play all 3 positions. He's 6 foot, decent in the air but also have good technique and control.

The only time he played for the first team he was played out wide and when I saw him play for the reserves and the academy he was played out wide.

apparently, there is a waiver draft today, would be interesting to see if Toronto sees anyone worthy to pick up, and does anyone know a list of possible waivers

Incorrect, all SEI does is give you the roster spot back. The cap hit is still there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't MLS clubs have the option of spending money out of their own pocket in the place of an injured player?

Don't think it has cap implications either, just a low maximum amount you can spend on the replacement.

is it? i know it says we're still responsible for paying their salary, but it doesn't go into detail about the players salary being covered under cap space.. although when they say salary it can be assumed it's under the cap regardless. you may be right.

I've always assumed it to be under the cap, otherwise you can sign an older player to a max contract and if it doesn't work out, just put him on SEI with no cap hit.

Just thinking with that right wing spot still being an issue TFC should look at Nakajima Farran in the summer window. Logic looks pretty good.

Domestic, plays the exact spot we need, isn't expensive, will be out of contract, and fits the style of play we want to implement.

I saw Logan Emory, the center back trialist, training with the squad in Rogers Center. He is the only defender i saw during pre-season that was comfortable with the ball at his feet and i hope we sign him.

Right now, there is nothing more urgent for TFC than signing two attacking players, one a center forward, one a winger. Koevermans is either unfit or not interested, and Johnson is literally the only other forward on the roster. This should be keeping up the TFC front office at night. I do not know if they are waiting for the European season to end but this has to be addressed right now.

Koevermans is just short of match fitness, if he's still on the edge of games in a few weeks then it'll be an issue. I do agree though that the squad definitely could do with some cover for him, but finding a player who can add something up top when needed, while also being happy to be second choice will be a difficult task.

I would be ok with this...might be able to get him for a decent price as well. I can't see him making tons of money playing with Brisbane.

We definately need more depth up front.I don`t think Lambe is any upgrade for Soolsma,Johnson or even Martina.Johnson can be a back-up for Koev but if those 2 get hurt we are going to struggle. We should go get Barrett back.He only played a couple of minutes last nite and he can play all 3 positions up front. He scores more then plata and Soolsma combined.

to be fair he's had more seasons here than those two combined as well. i liked barrett but i don't think he has the footy iq to perform any better than what we have already. at most a sub if he's brought in again... not worth it in my opinion

Let's not throw Lambe under the bus just yet guys, he's playing 25 minutes of football for TFC, we can hardly judge him on that yet. The management clearly think he's got skills otherwise they wouldn't have offered him such a long contract.

Very good Idea, would work wonders on the wings and can also slot in at cam.

that would be a very deadly front 3

Yup. Caicedo gone. What an odd turn of events. I remember we were all so excited to get him just like three weeks ago.

Well, maybe it's best for everyone involved. He didn't exactly inspire confidence in the time he was here.

Now we just need to find Aceval's right footed doppleganger.
