“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

Good morning from Waking the Red! What we've got cooking today.
- How Europe can learn from MLS about homophobia. I say Europe needs to get over itself, and start looking at what MLS has achieved in 2012 on fighting homophobia. It's not perfect, but it's better than the clusterf*ck they have.
- Time to throw 2012 on the barbie, and grill it. Kristin takes over for me as WTR's optimist-in-Chief!
- Dave looks at Jason Johnson, another potential draft pick.
