This was one of those times when it wrote itself. Other times I'm banging my head against the keyboard.

TFC Lose 2012 MLS Home Opener – Video Blog

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/20...e-home-opener/

In this post game video blog I take a look back at what was a forgettable home opener loss for Toronto FC versus a relatively poor San Jose Earthquakes side.

I also focus on the poor play Saturday of Julian de Guzman and offer up a challenge for those who defend him and his play to step up and explain to those of us who don't get it what he brings to the table.

I take a look forward to Wednesday's Champions League tilt versus Santos Laguna at BMO Field and I hopefully give you a taste of what it is like in the south end of BMO Field with some exclusive video shot from the stands.

Episode three of North of 49 pod - It's recorded on Sunday nights, so the U23 result wasn't in yet, so the first bit is on the win over the US, and looks at alot of the players on the team and what their next steps should be in developing. An interview with Russell Teibert - from 30:00 on it's TFC first going over the loss and Cathal Kelly's article singling out JDG is discussed and what the overall state of the team is now and where TFC can find some upgrades.

NORTH OF 49 PODCAST: EPISODE 3 w RUSSELL TEIBERT

And local boy XArmen BaldX also weighs in on the state of our backline after the loss to San Jose and how Frings move to sweeper gave us all that false sense of security

^ Based on this report I'm not looking forward to what Santos Laguna counter attack can do to us. Especially since San Jose just beat us on the counter twice Saturday.

Hopefully Ryan Johnson will be up top on the right. I do like the fact we may be able to exploit their left back position with some wing play with Ecks and Johnson. Also on set pieces and going up in the air Johnson and DK may be able to capitalize.

    Know your enemy

Another look at Santos strengths and weaknesses, tactics and form. and yes, headed goals are probably our best bet, they're weak in the air in the box, hopefully Koevermans and johnson can do good things.

TFC Draw in 1st Leg of CCL Semi Final - Video Blog

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/20...cl-semi-final/

In this post game video blog episode I get somewhat angry at Santos Laguna striker Herculez Gomez for a diss on TFC in Spanish. I also try and figure out the Jeckyl and Hyde defensive performances in the Champions League versus MLS play. I take a quick look ahead to the next three games versus the Crew, away in Mexico and of course the derby in Montreal on Easter Weekend. And I express some surprise as to the poor ticket sales in Montreal.

columbus version of the usual preview pieces.
Know your enemy: looking at how they've played in their two games so far, who to look out for, what to exploit, and all that.
How you doin'? info from Columbus blogger on crew fans' expectations for the year, who to look out for tomorrow, and how Tony tchani's doing.

TFC Loses 3 in a Row in MLS

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/20...-a-row-in-mls/

In this post game video blog I take a look back at the loss versus Columbus and try and figure out the Jeckyl and Hyde routine that Toronto FC has been up to so far with success in the Champions League and zero wins in three attempts in MLS.

    first Santos preview piece.

How you doin'? discussion with Mexican league blogger, on just why santos are so good at home, if last week's shenanigans caused much of a stir down there, and what changes we can expect to see from them.

thanks. definitely best bit of being part of sbnation is the easily accessible network of bloggers for other teams willing to help with this sort of thing.

and now for something completely different, the balled of the dutchman, a homeric poem to describe how we got to this point, from twisted chinaman.

The Champions League Run Comes To An End For TFC

    http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/20...n-end-for-tfc/

In this post game video blog I try and bring some perspective to the end of TFC's Champions League journey that ended Wednesday night in northern Mexico by not only looking back at the game but also at some of the better memories that this entire adventure brought us, everything from two rainouts, Plata, the Rogers Centre and Robbie Keane getting stopped cold among other great memories.

I also lament the continuing defensive frailties that this club has not yet properly addressed.

a poetic lament for the end of the CCL run.

and a game preview to kick off our Montreal coverage. Will we see a defensive shitshow goalfest, or an impotent and incompetent 0-0 draw?
