Making an Adjustment: Watch Rookie Omphroy on MLSSoccer.com

Kelly: The road to Brazil looks impassable for Canada

    Toronto Star - Cathal Kelly
All journeys of a thousand miles start with a single step. Great. But it's, like, a thousand miles, which is why nobody but Chinese mystics and compulsive walkers go on one of those. On their march toward (definitely not yet ...

"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

Am I supposed to take these ramblings as fact? I've watched both often, he's wrong at the moment.

Cathal Kelly has taken over from simmons as the biggest joke of a reporter, read it in the paper where he has Australia as the likely playoff opponent when they play in asia no Oceania now. Of course online its different but he sounds like an idiot in the print version. Sure we may not be a great team and prob wont make it to 2014 but that article is just a Canada bash.

No one can unseat Scumbag Steve Simmons as the biggest joke in the Toronto sports media. But Cathal Kelly can give him a run for the money.

Yeah, BUT if this is THE team that Jurgy is thinking of putting on the pitch for qualifying then I can see the US staying home and watching the WC on the tele. From the highlights I saw the US has no backline to speak of and the youngsters up front are not the finishers that we had in the past. Landy Cakes crying is actually him thinking..'I'm not going to Brazil in '14.' You also have to consider that Costa Rica has qualified for the WC before so this was not a push over national team.
