Default CCL - Nothing ever goes as planned, but....

Okay, I was pretty bummed after the lost today by the Reds. Thought those 3 dropped points were fatal. But after the Pumas draw against a 10 man Tauro, it really has opened the door.

Obviously if Pumas can't score on a 10-man Tauro squad, then clearly nothing in this group is guarenteed.

But, I've got 2 minutes to waste, and if you do too, read on.

    Right now, it's

    Dallas 6
    Toronto 3
    Pumas 1
    Tauro 1

ROUND 3 - Pumas beat TFC in Mexico, Dallas beats Tauro in Texas
    Dallas 9
    Pumas 4
    Toronto 3
    Tauro 1

ROUND 4 - Dallas draw Pumas in Texas, Toronto beats Tauro in Toronto
    Dallas 10
    Toronto 6
    Pumas 5
    Tauro 1

ROUND 5 - Toronto draws Pumas in Toronto, Dallas beats Tauro in Panama
    Dallas 13
    Toronto 7
    Pumas 6
    Tauro 1

ROUND 6 - Dallas has clinched so plays no one at home, concentrating on the playoffs and Toronto steals 3 in Texas, Pumas beat Tauro in Mexico
    Dallas 13
    Toronto 10
    Pumas 9
    Tauro 1

Now I think I've been fair here. Not saying it's all going to happen. But it's an average estimate.

We're no longer trying to knock Dallas out, we're trying to knock Pumas out. And if Dallas takes 6 points of Tauro, they'll clinch and have NOTHING to play for on October 18th. Which is GREAT news for us.

It's nice to run through these scenarios. 3 hours ago, it was barely worth considering!

All looks relatively good apart from Round 6, we will never win in Dallas.

By round 6, Dallas will already be through, our MLS season will be long over, and Dallas will be in a play-off run for a better play-off spot. This could be a nothing game for Dallas, but everything for us.

Never say never ... it might not be about who has the best team; but who has the best squad on the pitch, and the most desire.

Exactly, that's the main premise here! If Dallas dominates Tauro, they'll have no reason to compete on the 18th when we come to town!
