According to this latest story, the Montreal Impact will unveil their new logo this Saturday, August 6.

it was actually forwarded my way from a buddy who lives in montreal, he's not one for bullshit, or soccer in general and even less for photoshop skills. if someone on the board didn't follow league-1 and spotted it as lyon it would've had me fooled.

it could've been an accurate crest, but im not too sure. there's a lot of legit stuff floating around on the bigsoccer forums that i cant view because theyre hosted by photobucket or flickr (both blocked at my work). ill ask and see if he remembers where he found it.

just thought this'd be a nifty place to discuss their crest. id like to reiterate that it hasn't been posted yet, but is set to be unveiled tomorrow as per the clubs website and facebook page.



here's hoping they do something classy, but unfortunately for them their crest has always looked like a piece of clip art. lord knows they shit the bed on the timbers and whitecaps crests. seriously, how much better could it have gotten than this.

i like the white caps crest.

But in general i don't like how EVERY crest in the MLS with the exception of Chivas USA looks like some modern, sleak, marketing driven image. Clip art is exactly right.

All of the crests lack character.

As for the Timber and Caps crest, they have really grown on me. The Caps crest is pretty creative with the use of both definitions of whitecaps and with the whole V/W in the mountain. But now that I see the old retro Caps crest, I can't help but agree with you.

As for the Timbers, the original crest with the shading was brutal but the newest without the shading came out nicely. I think the real shame is their awful kits.

I was just thinking this. Pretty much all of the crests lack some real character. Give the Sounders crest a good look, its pretty terrible. The only two crests in the league I like are TFC's and Philly's.
