In 2010, Marosevic was loaned to the Austin Aztecs of USSF-Div 2 and was later waived by FC Dallas this season. He will be available for Toronto FC’s league match on Saturday July 30 against Portland Timbers in Portland.

I remember reading about him during the 2009 draft...one mock had him going to TFC that year.

Probley cause he hasn't gotten a sniff of first team action in three years. Not exactly confidence inspiring is it.

Wondering if we are out of international spots, limiting our options.

I remember him being a decent little player, but he's got Soolsma wheels to a lesser degree.

Pretty unlikely he still is GA - that was Frei's and Zakuani's year, for example and he's played in D2. But who knows, sounds like he has a GA-like salary.

If he's still a Gen Adidas player, then cool - worth a shot. If he's not, well, I don't know anything about him, but his CV doesn't exactly blow my doors off.

The management must see something in him, to bother making this deal.

He came in highly touted from Michigan and was considered a can't miss prospect by a lot of scouts. Had a huge combine in '09 paired up top with Chris Pontius and was seen as a potential MLS scoring threat.

A bit worrisome that he couldn't crack Dallas in three years, given that they're headed up by a former U.S. college guy, although they had him playing in the hole and wide, which wasn't his strength in college, I believe.

Still, he was only 18 or 19 when they drafted him, so he's still only 22 or 23. I'd see him as a better option as a backup than Stinson, and he can slot into multiple spots again, just like Robinson (seems to be the Ajax MO).

He doesn't take up an international spot, he has a u.s.a citizenship. He played for the U-20's.

Someone less busy than myself will have to compile a roaster list and post it, as there are so many new faces. I'm wondering if I'll be able to figure out who's who this weekend.

We'll be yelling "Who are ya?" at our own team if they don't start selling updated programs.

It'd be kind of funny to chant that when they come out of the tunnel.

Since he was outright released by Dallas & TFC signed him off waivers, does his previous salary & contract length necessarily still apply? Maybe it's a new deal with TFC -- at least for next year?

Does this pave the way for the departure of Maicon in exchange for a decent quality CB?

All teams must pass on the player first. He can then negotiate a new contract with whatever team takes him on.

It wouldn't be for this year... maybe for next.

Of course they could renegotiate as part of a multi-year deal. That's unlikely, though.

BTW, this deal just seems like Mariner's work.
