Default Cue the drumroll... Beckham keen to play on

Can you feel the excitement build?

David Beckham believes he has at least two more years left before retirement as the former England skipper continues his club career with MLS side LA Galaxy.
GettyImagesDavid Beckham is not ready for retirement yet

Beckham, 36, still has a year to run on his current deal in Los Angeles and hinted he may be willing to extend that contract to finish his career in the United States.
"I still feel good, I feel healthy. I'm still enjoying getting up in the morning to go training," he told various newspapers.
"Yes [I have], one, maybe two, more years. Until I get up and don't feel the same, I'll continue. I still have to play at a certain level but I think I can do that.

Question is, does LA want him?

If not, would we want him?

I'd take him in a second.

His distribution is still amazing. Put him in the center of the park, don't make him run as much and and let him pull the strings from deep. Quality of service up to the forwards would be dramatically better than what we have today.

Will he take $300k? Because I want that JDG money going towards a defender.

I know you're all just joking about Becks to TO but the next sentence in the article is:

"This is the last year in my contract but I enjoy playing in this league, for this franchise, with the players we have and with Bruce Arena as my manager.'"

    LA or bust, it seems.

He'll stay in LA for sure unless they choose to no longer want his services and TFC is willing to pay the man.

From a financial perspective, you won't have trouble moving tickets if Becks was on our roster cause BMO would be sold out most nights.

Good for him. He belongs in L.A. if he's in this league.

Instead of JDG, I think Winter and JK can find much better DPs with their connections than Beckham.

I dont think he will even consider TFC and as a fan I wouldn't want him here.

That's 2 more sellouts than we've got this year, no?

I think this is the more important issue. Will Becks play for just L.A.? That would be more worthwhile to the team and their fans.

Either LA or NY will be the places Beckham plays for, if he continues his MLS career.

Well Beckham has a clause in his contract that he can buy a MLS expansion team for $10 million once he is done his five years, so maybe he'll start on his own team? I don't see how the timeframe would work but I'm just shooting the shit.

He could buy TFC from MLSE and appoint Victoria as GM.

I couldn't picture Posh living in Parkdale.

Come January, he'll be playing for Stevenage.

They'll keep him. The question is what does he get for a contract. :P
