Oh, Kelly's definitely impressed by Winter, pre season he did a very fawning "this guy's really cool" kind of article, winter promised to get him some cool sneakers.
as for the bit you quoted. #preseason2012, it's always been that way, all these trades and signings are just part of that. Hopefully we'll actually have a settled team at the start of this year.
^ yep, 4 1/2 years of full stands when they only anticipated 12K or so at the start must have been like crack to those guys. The Hangover part 5.
Well, someone said- the best TFC squad (ever)... If Eck. and Dunfield and JDG were heatlhy, would that be true? Forget the cohesion, name wise..?
I would suggest that Frings, JDG, and Dunfield might constitute the best midfield we've ever had, Koevermans might be the best striker we've ever had, and the current depth on the wings might be the best we've ever had. Other than Eckersley and Iro, the backline is still suspect.
A healthy roster would definitely look fairly strong on paper, but cohesion is the key to earning results from this point forward.
I imagine he is yes, but that's even worse, you weren't victims of that success, you're the one's who set out to ruthlessly exploit it and thus damaged it, for fucks sake. so not only did you not do things right because you didn't have to because you had success handed to you, you also ruined that unexpected success.
just go away, and stop talking to the media for the sake of my blood pressure.
Yeah....errrr....that's some sorta spin he's got going on there. Also, I guess the question as to Attakora has been answered. Doesn't sound like Winter and him had a good working relationship. Certainly not the first time a player was let go due to disagreements with management.
By the way, I think Cathal Kelly is the first man to ever call Winter a "visionary". Seems sorta melodramatic, but that's just me.

Did the USA , of all countries, just fix soccer? - C. Ronaldo, May 27th commenting on the FBI-led investigations into fraud and corruption throughout FIFA.
Pretty good article on ESPN.com today. Not sure if it has been posted yet.
Toronto's Aron Winter is on a Mission
I had an "aha" moment reading that article. Now I understand what Winter is doing and what his vision is. Results on the field are important of course, but he's putting in place the infrastructure of a serious football club. He should be judged by that as well as results on the pitch.
