    Default Squad Depth

Will update this as needed, feel free to comment away. I left out the kids, because really they need to develop before being considered for the first team, IMO.

    Point forward:

    Johnson-------------Koevermans-------------Soolsma
    (Plata)---------------(Santos)--------------(Martina)
    ----------------------------------------------------
    ----------------------Dunfield----------------------
    ---------------------(Zavarise)---------------------
    -----------Frings--------------DeGuzman------------
    ----------(Sturgis)---------------------------------
    ----------------------------------------------------
    Yourassowsky---Iro--------Viator-----------Eckersley
    (Borman)-------(Harden)--------------------(Gargan)
    ----------------------------------------------------
    ---------------------Frei---------------------------
    -------------------(Kocic)--------------------------

    Point back:

    Johnson-------------Koevermans-------------Soolsma
    (Plata)---------------(Santos)--------------(Martina)
    ----------------------------------------------------
    -----------Dunfield-----------DeGuzman-------------
    ----------(Zavarise)---------------------------------
    ---------------------Frings--------------------------
    --------------------(Sturgis)------------------------
    ----------------------------------------------------
    Yourassowsky---Iro--------Viator-----------Eckersley
    (Borman)-------(Harden)--------------------(Gargan)
    ----------------------------------------------------
    ---------------------Frei---------------------------
    -------------------(Kocic)--------------------------

Long term injury (whether they are on the official list or not): Bouchiba, Cann, Williams, Griffit

Griffit, no matter how exciting his signing is, will not be a starter.

This depends on whether we see Santos (or someone else) playing AM in a point forward, or if we go point back (I assume with our current breakdown, point back as I listed above).

I suspect that we'll see Sturgis and a winger (Martina maybe?) moved for a CB and a CM that can play all three positions in the triangle, rather than a guy who can only play 1.

Order it however you choose, the guy appears to have talent, but just never cut it wherever he was. As much as I like Soolsma, he's just has no acceleration and little agility and is too inconsistent. I can't see Martina starting either.

He won't start this week; he's on the IR. Long-term? Maybe. But there's a reason a guy with that much technique craps out at so many clubs, and we've heard that story too many times before.

You may as well take Cann's name off as he is out for the season. Interesting little battles now for the starting XI. I think they will try to get a bit more help in the CB position the chart is not complete, stay tuned.

I think it will be more like this

    Johnson - Koevermans - Plata
    Santos
    De Guzman - Frings
    Yourassowsky - Harden - Iro - Eckersley
    Frei

Until Cann or Williams or hopefully another beastly CB come and replaces Harden

Plata starts as RW (he was out of position most nights on the left). Ryan Johnson I'd assume starts the LW for the time being until we can figure who the best winger is between him and Martina. Soolsma backs up Plata.

Wasn't aware Cann was out for the season, but Dicoy Williams is out for the season for sure. Harden as starting CB and Henry as the backup.

I don't like Borman, but I'd rate him higher than Yourass.

Updated by removing long term injuries (whether they are on the official list or not) from the squad depth chart.

We really need to get another CB or two in, unless Henry is viewed as adequate cover.

Compared to what we had 2 weeks ago this gives me a little wood

Have we played point back this year?

Looking at that line up fills me with the kind of guarded optimism only found in an abusive relationship. "They've really changed this time...!"
